U-17/18s – BSC CT Academy 0-2 BW Gottschee (9/14)

BSC CT Academy began their DA season this past weekend and found it rather difficult going against Blau Weiss Gottschee. Playing at their home field, didn’t provide much of an advantage. The U-13/14s suffered a 3-0 defeat to a goal-happy BW Gottschee that scored six goals a weekend ago.

The U-15/16s fared a bit better as they took their first points of the season in a 1-1 draw. However, the U-17/18s also were handed a debut in their opener and were shutout conceding twice in the loss.

Blau Weiss Gottschee

The U-13/14s started their season last week while the U-15/16s and U-17/18s began their campaigns this weekend. Scoring three more times at the weekend, the U-13/14s now have nine goals in their first two games. The club found goals from three different players.

The U-15/16s were able to get a draw away from home and the U-17/18s kept a clean sheet to cap off a strong weekend for BW Gottschee. Donovan Cesar and Callum Johnson provided the goals.

Cedar Stars Academy

U-13/14s – Match Fit Academy 3-0 Cedar Stars Academy (9/13)

Cedar Stars Academy has had a rough start to the season. After losing 1-0 last weekend to FC Continental Delco, the club suffered their second defeat. This time it was to Match Fit in a 3-0 loss.

With two weeks with no goals and ultimately points, Cedar Stars will need to rebound this coming weekend.

Match Fit Academy

U-13/14s – Match Fit Academy 3-0 Cedar Stars Academy (9/13)

Losing in big fashion in their first game of the season, Match Fit flipped the script this past weekend. They scored three times to ease to victory over Cedar Stars Academy.

Three different players found goals for Match Fit. Owen GreengroveLiam O’Brien and Jeremy Rafanello lifted the team to it’s first victory and points of the season.

Met Oval

U-13/14s – New York Soccer Club 3-0 Met Oval (9/13)

Met Oval secured a big win over the Philadelphia Union. However, they couldn’t replicate that fine start in a loss to New York Soccer Club. The home side got a brace from Justus Boyhen and a goal from Will Citron.

Met Oval has a home game this coming weekend where they excelled in their opener. They will look to continue their success there.

New York Red Bulls

U-13/14s – New York Red Bulls 1-0 NJCSA (9/13)
U-15/16s – New York Red Bulls 2-0 NJCSA (9/13)
U-17/18s – New York Red Bulls 2-1 NJCSA (9/13)

The New York Red Bulls Academy scored a ton of goals a weekend ago. While scoring decidedly less goals this time around, they still found the same success.

The U-13/14s held on for a 1-0 win with Pablo Arias scoring the game’s only goal early in the contest. The U-15/16s also held on for a clean sheet. Omir Fernandez and Brian Saramago were again on the score sheet and both have tallied three times to start the season.

The U-17/18s conceded the lone goal to NJCSA, but were able to get the victory. Juan Sebastian Sanchez and Derrick Etienne, who now has scored his fourth of the season, were on the score sheet.

NJCSA

U-13/14s – New York Red Bulls 1-0 NJCSA (9/13)
U-15/16s – New York Red Bulls 2-0 NJCSA (9/13)
U-17/18s – New York Red Bulls 2-1 NJCSA (9/13)

NJCSA failed to get a win or any points in their first weekend of play and the second went in similar fashion, albeit conceding less goals.

The U-13/14s and U-15/16s were both shut out. The U-17/18s saw Nicholas Cousillas sent off for two yellow cards, but were able to score a consolation goal through Hayden Criollo in the game’s final moments.

While the results weren’t there, NJCSA can take some positives in tightening their defense up a bit and slowing down a high-flying Red Bulls Academy to an extent.

However, both the U-15/16s and U-17/18s fell in their opening games. The U-15/16s conceded three times. Brandon Haughton scored the one goal for Oakwood. The U-17/18s also found a goal, but lost as well. Alexandre Reis scored their only goal in that one.

PDA

U-13/14s – Philadelphia Union 4-2 PDA (9/13)
U-15/16s – Philadelphia Union 1-0 PDA (9/13)

PDA had a good first weekend, but struggled a bit this past weekend.

Both the U-13/14s and U-15/16s lost to the Philadelphia Union Academy. While the U-15/16s were shut out, the U-13/14s, who scored six times in the previous round of games, scored twice in the losing effort. William Basanega and Joseph Moulton-Condiotti.

The U-17/18s got the best result for the club at the weekend with a 1-1 draw. Jalil Blalock scored the goal – his second of the year.
