U.S. Soccer Development Academy East Conference Recap: Week 10
Two undefeated squads finished with a one-goal game in the U-15/16 age group while another team at the U-17/18 level won its 10th straight game to start the season, this weekend in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy East Conference.

U-13/14
New York Red Bulls 2, New England Revolution 1
In a high-profile crossover match, New York Red Bulls held off New England Revolution on Saturday afternoon. The Red Bulls did their damage early, as Scott Taylor and Jayden Reid scored in the 12th and 19th minute, respectively, to give their team a 2-0 lead. A minute before intermission, though, the Revolution cut the Red Bulls’ lead in half after Luke Fagerson’s strike. Even so, the Red Bulls held on for the win and established themselves as one of the top squads in the Metro Division.
Richmond United 3, Met Oval 2
Key White recorded a hat trick for Richmond United in the one-goal victory over New York side Met Oval, finding the net in the 17th, 44th and 52nd minutes. Filip Mirkovic equalized for Met Oval in the 34th following White’s first strike, then the Richmond defense held Oval off the board until the closing seconds of the match when they were able to cut the lead to one on a finish by Kameron Blaise. The win capped off a successful weekend for Richmond, split a pair of 1-0 decisions with World Class FC and Cedar Stars Academy in a Saturday doubleheader.
U-15/16
Beachside SC 1, New England Revolution 0
Beachside SC cut New England Revolution’s lead in the Northeast Division with a 1-0 win Saturday afternoon. This match featured a battle between a high-scoring offense and a stout defense — Beachside SC entered the contest second in the league with 14 goals while the Revolution allowed four scores over its first nine games. Beachside SC prevailed, though, as Chester Glenn scored in the 77th minute to send his team to its sixth victory of the season.
Kendall SC 1, Weston FC 0
A battle of the undefeated squads lived up to its billing, as one goal proved to be the difference. Gabriel Paniagua scored for Kendall SC in the 33rd minute, and Weston FC couldn’t net the equalizer in its first loss in nine games this season. The result moves the two teams into a tie for first place in the Southeast Division with 22 points. They appear to be the two contenders to claim the division title, too, as the third-best team has 14 points.
U-17/18
BW Gottschee Academy 3, Oakwood Soccer Club 0
Saturday’s result made it 10 wins in as many games for BW Gottschee Academy, who had no trouble shutting out Oakwood Soccer Club. It used three-first half goals from Matthew Swain, Sean McGowan and Conor McGlynn en route to the easy victory. BW Gottschee currently sits atop the Northeast Division with 30 points and has outscored its opponents, 25-4.
Players Development Academy 4, Richmond United 1
Richmond United wasted no time taking the lead against the Atlantic Division’s top team, as Hector Rivera scored in the sixth minute. But after Rivera’s goal, Players Development Academy cruised to the three-goal win. Isaiah Young, who has been one of the top scorers for PDA, netted the equalizer in the 10th minute, and Michael Coloa gave his team the lead right before halftime. PDA scored another goal in the 59th minute before Young capped his team’s seventh win a 90th minute score.
