The visitRaleigh.com Showcase Series concludes this weekend with the Girls College Showcase from December 1-3 at WRAL Soccer Park. (College Coaches)

Ahead of the weekend’s action, here are some players to know from this year’s event. Players are listed according to their graduation year.

2028
Alexis Fischer | Goalkeeper
Eclipse Select SC ECNL 09 (IL)
Earned clean sheets in league play this season and limited opponents to just eight goals allowed. Fischer can make the decisive stop in tight spaces and depending upon the score speed up or slow down play. She works well with her defenders to shore up gaps in the defense and will go out and make a clearance to give her teammates time to reorganize.
2027
Provides a strong level of support for the Space Coast defense in ECNL-RL, working alongside Madeline Pickett to form a solid 1-2 goalkeeping combination. Her work in one-on-one situations is always on point and is more than willing to mix it up with attackers to end goal-scoring opportunities. Thanks in part to her work between the posts, Space Coast are sporting a 3-2-1 record on 10 points ECNL-RL Florida Conference-North Division play putting them in third.
Anchors one of the top defenses in the ECNL in Eclipse, which has given up just eight goals in league play this season. In counter-attack situations, Chung can make the track back and stem any goal-scoring opportunities with either a solid tackle or box out. She can also help set up the spine of the attack with a perfectly placed pass or cross.

Lila Kontuly | Forward-Midfielder
Eclipse Select SC ECNL 09 (IL)
Scored 23 goals last season for Eclipse, using her explosive first touch and strong striking ability to propel the team to an ECNL National Playoff appearance. Eclipse has scored 46 goals thus far this season in ECNL Conference play, thanks in large part to Kontuly’s ability to create goal-scoring opportunities for both herself and her teammates. Earlier this season, she was selected to participate in the USYNT Talent ID Center clinic for 2009/2010 players.
2026
A leader on the field for SJEB, Major enters the 2023-2024 season looking to improve upon her team’s GA National Playoff appearance last season. The sophomore can help build attacking plays through the midfield with even the most innocuous of passes or movements. She is also an asset in the attacking, having scored twice in last year’s North Carolina Academy GA Showcase.
Kally Prescott | Goalkeeper
NCFC Youth ECNL 08 (NC)
Started the ECNL season strong for NCFC, making 28 saves in NCFC’s first four matches including a shutout against Richmond United (0-0) and holding a strong Arlington team to just one goal (3-1 win). Prescott possesses excellent field vision and can pick out her teammates on the wings with either a long throw or punt. She has also featured for NCFC’s 07s during ECNL play this season.

Camryn Zimmerman | Defender
NCFC Youth ECNL 08 (NC)
Plays multiple positions along NCFC’s defensive line and excels at all of them, using her speed to box out attackers and making key clearances when called upon. She likes to mark attackers closely, giving them little space to operate and do damage. She is also an asset on set pieces and can use her height to hit shots on target. In addition to her work with NCFC, she is a member of the North Carolina ODP Program.

Kayla Rice | Forward
NCFC Youth 07 (NC)
Provides an attacking spark up top for NCFC and can great goal-scoring opportunities for either herself or her teammates with relative ease. In their first ECNL Mid-Atlantic win of the season against Arlington, Rice showed tremendous poise assisting on their first goal and putting the game away with their third. In 2022-2023, she received All-State honors after captaining her high school Franklin Academy.

Logan Smith | Midfielder
NCFC Youth ECNL 08 (NC)
Smith is a dangerous player in the NCFC midfield, using her speed to make run both on and off of th ball and break lines with timely passing. She is a hard-working central player who clogs the middle and does the dirty work necessary to win games. Smith’s work on the pitch has garnered her All-Conference Player of the Year honors in 2023 and multiple All-State selections in North Carolina for the past two years as a member of Ravenscroft School’s varsity team.
2025
A strong, accurate midfielder Linus can score from both outside the 18 and in tight spaces in the box. A true midfielder, she can play just about any position on the field where she creates opportunities for forwards while breaking up plays defensively. An ODP alum, Linus is coming off a strong high school season with CRN, finishing first in the Suburban One Patriot League and scoring goals in playoff action.
Molly Kennedy | Midfielder
Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals GA 05/06 (PA)
Named the Southeast Pennsylvania Player of the Year for 2023, Kennedy is coming off of a strong high school season in which she was also received First Team All-Conference and First Team All-Area. Kennedy’s timing, both in terms of her passes and when to take a shot, is always on point and she has excellent chemistry with her teammates.

Kendall Miller | Midfielder
Club Ohio Elite 05/06 (OH)
Earned Greater Catholic League First Team All-Conference honors for her standout season with Alter High School in Ohio, scoring multiple key goals throughout the season. In addition to her attacking exploits, Miller can slow down the opposition with her defensive work. For Club Ohio last season, Miller played an integral role in their run through USYS National Championships, finishing second in their group and making it to the Quarterfinals.

Enya Carthy | Goalkeeper
SJEB FC 07 GA (NJ)
A recent call up to Ireland’s under-17 team , she earned her first cap in their 3-1 win over Scotland. Carthy has superb vision and can pick out shots in any in-game situation. She is also a vocal leader and works well with her defense to limit their opponent’s chances at goal.

Lauren Clonch | Midfielder
Highland FC ECNL-RL 06 (NC)
On the pitch, she helps her team at either Outside Back position and at Midfield, assisting on goals in the ECNL RL playoffs and in Showcase events, while also finding the back of the net as a box-to-box player. She runs Cross Country and Track, helping her XC Team to consecutive podium finishes at the NCHSAA 3A State Meet.
