(Via FC Dallas) – The FC Dallas U-16 and U-18 Academy teams dominated the group stage at the 2016 US Soccer Development Academy playoffs last week going 6-0-0 combined to win their groups.

As the top remaining seeds nationally for both age groups, FC Dallas will host national quarterfinals at the Toyota Soccer Center looking to head to the national semifinals in Carson, California in mid-July. FCD is one of two teams, along with Real Salt Lake, to send teams to the national quarterfinals in both age groups though FCD is the only one to host both matches.

The FCD U-18s will host Sporting Kansas City on Thursday, July 7th at 7:30 on Toyota Soccer Center Field 4. Coached by Francisco Molina, the U-18s defeated Orlando City SC 5-0 in a must-win group stage match to win their group and advance to these quarterfinals. 18-4-3 this season, the U-18s won the Central Conference Frontier Division and are looking to become the first team to win back-to-back National Championships after winning the U-16 US Soccer Development Academy championship last year.

The FCD U-16s will host Real Salt Lake on Wednesday, July 6th at 7:30 on Toyota Soccer Center Field 4. Coached by Academy Director Luchi Gonzalez, the U-16s completed a 23-2-0 record this year dominating the Central Conference Frontier Division while outscoring opponents 10-1 in the Development Academy group stage playoffs. There is certainly a bit of intrigue to this matchup as RSL is one of just two teams to have beaten the U-16s this season.
