DAYTON (Via University of Dayton) – The University of Dayton men’s soccer team will compete in the 2019 Columbus Crew Spring College League this year.

The Flyers will play three games as part of this spring tournament which takes place from March 9 through April 14.

“We have worked hard as a group of coaches to bring this tremendous opportunity to our student-athletes,” said head coach Dennis Currier. “Being able to partner with one of the original MLS franchises adds even more legitimacy to this concept. This is an extremely exciting for our team and adds tremendous exposure and further development opportunities. From a sporting perspective, I don’t think we can ask for a better set-up since it will give our team something to play for in the spring.”

Dayton hosts Purdue-Fort Wayne on March 23 before heading north to Bowling Green on March 30. The Flyers finish up the league on April 6 at home against Cleveland State.

The league features two divisions with eight total teams. The top two teams in the divisional rankings will compete in the finals at the Crew Stadium on April 14 in Columbus, Ohio.
