ECNL: Teams closing in on next National Event

The ECNL is just over two weeks away from its next National Event in Sanford, Fla., but a few teams are still in the midst of key league games ahead of the holidays.
In U-14 play, Solar-Chelsea Soccer Club continued its stellar play with a 4-0 win over Challenge SC, as four different players scored–Rebecca Keane, Mary Moore, Taryn Torres and Hannah Webb, who also had an assist.
In 12 games, Solar-Chelsea SC has given up just five goals in going 11-0-2 overall, and 8-0-2 to lead the Texas Conference, outscoring opponents in conference play 43-3.
Moore leads Solar-Chelsea with 12 goals and seven assists, while Madison Williams has 11 goals. Torres has seven goals and 12 assists. Eleven different players have scored for Solar-Chelsea.
Concorde Fire continues to be a hot U-15 side, as it picked up two more shutout wins in the Southeast Conference, defeating Atlanta Fire 3-0 Saturday and Gwinnett Soccer Association 2-0 Sunday.
Lily Ammon, Lily Barron and Cayson Green scored goals for Concorde in the win over Atlanta, while Katie MacGinnitie and Claire Shea scored Concorde’s goals on Sunday.
Three players, including Ammon, MacGinnitie and Gabriela Rivera, each has at least 10 goals, while Brooke Colangelo has eight goals and 10 assists. Concorde (15-0-1) has outscored opponents 49-4 in conference play. Look for Concorde at the National Event at the end of this month.
In U-16 play, Eclipse Select Soccer Club split a pair of games over the weekend, but with that split, lost its first game of the season.
Eclipse Select (11-1-1) defeated St. Louis Scott Gallagher-Metro 5-0 Saturday, but fell 1-0 at home Sunday to Minnesota Thunder Academy. Eclipse will also be at this month’s National Event and will face three Mid-Atlantic Conference teams.
Charlotte Soccer Academy played a 1-1 draw with Carolina Elite Soccer Academy Saturday. At 10-1-3 in Southeast Conference play, it holds onto first place over CASL Chelsea Ladies (8-2-3). Charlotte plays one more conference match this weekend before heading down to the Seminole Soccer Complex for the second ECNL National Event of the year.
In U-18s, Dallas Texans squeezed out a 1-0 win over D’Feeters Soccer Club Sunday, giving it a 12-1-0 record and an eight-point lead in the Texas Conference over TSC Hurricane, though TSC has played one fewer game.
