Players to Watch: ECNL Girls Regional League 2024 National Finals

The ECNL Girls Regional League will wrap up their 2023-24 season with the ECNL RL National Finals (Event Homepage). The event will take place July 11-14 at Striker Park in Richmond, Virginia.

Ahead of the postseason action, here are some players to know from this year’s event. Players are listed according to their graduation year.

2027

Emma Esterbrook | Goalkeeper
Pateadores SC 11 (CA)

Alternating between the ECNL and ECRL rosters for Pateadores this season Esterbrook racked up 40 appearances in goal. That level of experience helped prepare her for the ECRL playoffs, where she earned four shutouts and made a decisive penalty kick save to book their spot in the Elite Eight. Out of the back, Esterbrook showcases her impressive distribution skills by using the whole field and always giving her teammates service in space.

Emilia Pajkic | Midfielder
Internationals SC 07 (OH)

Operating primarily out of the defensive midfield, Pajkic plays a key role in transitioning ISSC out of the back and into the midfield. She can switch the field of play and force defenders to chase with her pinpoint passing. On the defensive end, she can slide in to open space and plug gaps quickly giving opponents little to work with.

Ella Mullin | Midfielder-Forward
Albany Alleycats 08 (NY)

Selected to participate in last month’s USYNT ID Center event Mullin is coming off of a standout season in the midfield for the Alleycats. Mullin is patient when building attacking plays and always seems to have the right pass or move ready for the right time.

Madison Culpepper | Midfielder
Sting Dallas Black 08 (TX)

Operating out of multiple positions, Culpepper has shown her technical prowess throughout the pitch for Sting. Culpepper has a crafty right foot that she can use to hit shots on target from distance or curl in crosses into the box. Defensively, she can read what attackers are thinking and make the adjustments necessary to give herself the best chance at deterrence.

2026

Taylor Greene | Midfielder
FC Copa Academy 07 (NJ)

Buried eight goals en route to Copa winning Group in the East Regional Championships. Playing either as a forward or as an attacking midfielder, Greene makes the quiet runs behind defenders necessary to crack open back lines. Her quick decision-making and expert field awareness helped Copa go undefeated in North Conference-South Division play (11-0-0, 33 points).

Jamie Ricker | Goalkeeper
KC Fusion 08 (KS)

Stifles opponents work inside KC’s eighteen yard box by making difficult saves look easy. Ricker gives attackers very little space to work with, organizing an imposing defensive line (four goals allowed in Heartland Conference-South Division play this season). Ricker and the Fusion have proven that they can win big matches when it counts (2022-2023 National League MWC P1 Champions, USYS Midwest Regional Champions, 2023 Kansas State Cup Champions) and will be looking to add the ECNL RL Championship to their trophy case.

Finley Maynard | Goalkeeper
Slammers FC 08 (CA)

Booked four shutouts in the West Regional playoffs, going undefeated and winning Group A. Mayanrd has excellent instincts and can make the difficult stops in one-on-one situations with strikers. Maynard has already won an ECRL title and so she knows about the challenge ahead. In addition to her experience with Slammers, she is also a three ODP invitee, a CIF-SSS All-Academic team member and a First Team PCL member.

Isabel Vargas | Defender
Solar SC 08 (TX)

Captained Solar to an undefeated record in the ECRL South Regional Playoffs, leading a strong backline to four consecutive shutouts. Vargas can make the dangerous clears wide with attackers on her backs ending goal-scoring chances and giving her teammates time to reorganize. Last summer, she earned USYS Best XI honors while playing the USYS National Championships.

Alexa Holmes | Goalkeeper
Richmond Strikers 08 (VA)

Held Connecticut FC (2-0), NCFC Youth (0-0), CFC North (1-0), and FC Stars White (1-0) all scoreless to win Group A in the East Regionals making multiple key saves in each match to preserve the result. Holmes has won three consecutive conference titles with Strikers and will undoubtedly be looking for more hardware at her home park.

Olivia Aguilar | Defender
Albion Hurricanes 07 (TX)

The Texas-Rio Grande verbal commit stifles opponents with her smothering defense and timely interceptions. Aguilar can anticipate what attackers are thinking and make the small adjustments necessary to impede their progress. Thanks to her efforts on the defensive line Albion earned five shutouts in Texas Conference play this season.

Delanie Corcoran | Forward
Beach FC 07 (CA)

Spearheads a Beach attack that scored 63 goals in Southwest Conference-Sonoran Division play lifting the team to a 19-4-1 record on 58 points. Both on and off of the ball, Corcoran provides consistent attacking work up top and make the dangerous diagonal runs necessary to open up defenses. She has verbally committed to playing college soccer in 2025 at Washington State.

Paige Winter | Forward-Midfielder
FC Wichita 07 (IA)

Whips in shots and free kicks from distance for both Wichita and her high school Rose Hill, making life miserable for goalkeepers. Winter has a clever left foot that she can use to either hammer shots on target or bend crosses in for surging teammates. Winter was a All-Regional League Heartland Conference member last season and was integral to their 7-2-2 run on 23 points in conference play this season.

Eva Canevari | Forward
HEX FC 07 (PA)

When facing pressure, Canevari thrives able to make the tough decisions in the attacking third necessary to bring HEX FC success. The 2025 Temple verbal commit can break through defenses with her tight, consistent ball movement and with her passing always seems up for delivering crisp, diagonal passes for her teammates to capitalize on. HEX have already earned strong results at the Jefferson Cup, PDA Showcase and in North Atlantic Conference play this season (13-0-0, 39 points, 61 goals scored) and will look for more gold at the ECNL RL National Finals.

Isabella Fusco | Midfielder
GTFC Impact 07 (OH)

Operates primarily out of the attacking midfield where she forces defenses on their heels and creates space for her teammates to exploit. Fusco is an exceptional athlete (she also does the long jump in track and field for Avon) and is a difference-maker in building attacking for GTFC. In addition to featuring for her high school and club team, she has also in the past participated in the ODP Midwest Regional program.

Mia DiLeo | Forward
Legends FC 07 (CA)

Bombing down the left flank DiLeo can inflict major damage on defenses with dangerous runs towards the eighteen and pacey passes across the box. Thanks to her efforts, Legends scored an incredible 89 goals in 24 conference games this season, earning a 21-1-2 record on 65 points. For Arlington High School, she serves as Team Captain and has previously won ALL-League honors.
