Players to Watch: ECNL Girls Phoenix National Event (Fall 2024)
The ECNL Girls will hold their first National Event for the U16-U18/19 age groups of the 2024-25 season from November 8-10, with ECNL Phoenix hosting 178 teams.
After the opening months of the fall season featured multiple National Events for the younger age groups, college recruiting season will kick into high gear in November. (Event Homepage)
Ahead of ECNL Phoenix, here are some players to know for the showcase. Players are listed according to their graduation year.

2028
The 2023-24 ECNL Girls Northern Cal Conference Player of the Year at the U-15 level, Miller is one of the top Class of 2028 prospects to keep an eye on. The U.S. Women’s Youth National Team roster pool member is a force for MVLA ’09 from her center back position, possessing top-end speed and strength.
While playing with the KC Athletics 2008 ECNL team the last two seasons, Kincaid earned First Team All-Conference honors, a Conference Cup Championship, and 2nd Team All-Conference honors. During the 2024 ECNL Champions League Playoffs, Kincaid helped advance the KC Athletics 2009 ECNL team to the National Finals in Virginia. Chloe Guenther | Midfielder
KC Athletics 09 (MO)
Guenther earned First Team All-Conference honors last season while playing up a year for the ECNL National Finalist. She is an intelligent, highly technical center defensive midfielder with 2 goals and 9 assists this year. She was recently the youngest member of the KC Current Development team that went to Spain to play Barca B and Madrid B.
2027
Coming off an ECNL Girls Northern Cal All-Conference selection last season, Glover enters the 2024-25 campaign looking to build off that success. She remains a key member of the San Juan SC 08 attack which is off to another fast start this fall.
A dynamic midfielder with USYNT experience and ECNL All-Conference honors, Makasini is a focal point for the San Juan SC 09 offense. She has helped the team get off to a strong 4-1-1 start in the fall season.
Now representing the Bay Area Surf U17 squad, Leifried has been a fast-rising player in the Class of 2027 for the last several years. Notably, she received a professional opportunity to play for Academica SC in the USL W-League at the age of 14 in 2023. Recently, she earned a call-up for the U.S. U-17 Women’s Youth National Team.
Makena was one of the top overall performers at last summer’s ECNL Playoffs in Seattle, where she helped lead Slammers HB Køge to an undefeated record, advancing to the ECNL Finals. Makena played a major part in every game, scoring 7 of her team’s 9 goals with one assist. She is a multi-sport athlete who won League MVP in two sports last year as a freshman (1st at her school to accomplish that).
Selvaggio received ECNL All-Conference honors last season after a tremendous showing between the posts for Legends FC ’09, consistently rising to the challenge against many of the top attacking units in the nation. She has elite length, quickness and athleticism, and matches her physical skills with savvy anticipation and awareness.
Another Northern Cal All-Conference selection from last season, McBride serves as the reliable leader of a solid San Juan SC ’09 defensive unit. She earned a call-up to the U-15 USWYNT in April 2024, as one of only two goalkeepers selected to the training camp Chula Vista, CA.

A strong contributor for Beach FC 2009, Kase’s ability to find space and strike the ball with both feet is one of her best qualities as a striker. In her recent league vs. Arizona Arsenal ECNL, Kase showed her skills with an off-balance, left-footed half-volley that curved over the goalkeeper and into the top right corner. She is coming into her own and is a force to be reckoned with on the pitch.

Giselle Aguilar | Forward
Solar SC 09 (TX)
A mainstay in the U.S. Women’s Youth National Team roster pool, Aguilar is one of the top attacking talents in the country for the Class of 2027. The 2023-24 ECNL Girls All-American added to her outstanding season with Solar SC by representing the U-15 USWYNT in a pair of European friendlies last June.

Lolly Mirhashemi | Defender
San Diego Surf 09 (CA)
The U.S. Women’s Youth National Team prospect was named the 2023-24 ECNL Girls National Player of the Year at the U-15 level. She led San Diego Surf to the ECNL Girls U-15 National Championship over the summer, in a dominating season from start-to-finish, against the most challenging competition in the country.

Felicity Nguyen | Forward
San Diego Surf 09 (CA)
Another San Diego Surf player with USWYNT experience, Nguyen is a versatile attacker who can play center forward and on the wings. She earned first-team All-Southwest Conference while helping lead Surf to an ECNL National Championship last season. Nguyen also represented the U-15 USWYNT in a pair of international friendlies against Germany and the Netherlands.

Tuula Tarkka | Forward
Real Colorado National 09 (CA)
Serving as team captain for a talented Real Colorado National ’09 squad, Tarkka garnered ECNL U-15 All-American honors last season. She’s a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses, as her rare combination of size and speed make her nearly impossible to mark in 1v1 situations. She can create her own scoring chances and has shown great chemistry with her teammates as well, finishing off quick passes in tight spaces.

Kensington Berns | Defender
Real Colorado National 09 (CA)
Kensington is a dynamic, versatile player who can be seen playing in the 7,11,10, 2, and 3 this season. She has received recognition as a three-time USYNT invitee, IMG top 100, 2024 ECNL Conference Cup invitee, and was named 2024 all-Conference First Team. She has impressive athleticism, quickness, and a versatile skillset which sets her apart from other players.

Madison Russo | Defender
Michigan Hawks 09 (MI)
Russo is a skilled center back known for her quickness and agility on the field. She excels in 1v1 defensive situations. Madison’s quick decision-making and ability to read the game make her essential to the back line. Her skillset would be a valuable addition to any college team.

Aniston Crabtree | Midfielder
Sporting Blue Valley 09 (KS)
One of the top contributors for a strong Sporting Blue Valley 09 squad, Crabtree earned ECNL Girls All-Conference honors during the 2023-24 season. The standout defensive midfielder is the No. 2 ranked player at her position in the Heartland region by Prep Soccer.
2026
A highly-accomplished Class of 2026 goalkeeper who is currently uncommitted, McLin serves as “The Wall” for the Davis Legacy ’08 defense. She earned ECNL Northern Cal All-Conference honors in the 2023-24 season, and has spent this fall playing in both the ECNL and USL Academy.
One of the best midfielders in the state of Arizona for the Class of 2026, Wells garnered ECNL Southwest All-Conference honors once again last season. She brings a versatile skillset to the midfield, making key contributions on both the attacking and defensive sides for Arizona Arsenal ’08.
Stearns is a highly-decorated player in the ECNL. She’s been named to the Southwest All-Conference Team the past two years and was part of the Conference Cup event the past two years as well. A key defender on the So Cal Blues 2008 squad, MacKenzie Stearns is set to head North to compete at Washington in 2026.
Quick outside back that likes to attack down the sideline while creating scoring opportunities for her teammates. Uses both feet equally well with excellent vision of the field.
Dowdle has helped lead Sting Royal to a strong start in the ECNL Texas Conference with a record of 4-1-1 and in second place. In Phoenix, she will look to continue her strong defensive presence on the Sting Royal back line. She excels at 1v1 defense, but is also extremely dangerous on the attack as one of the premier outside backs coming from the talented state of Texas.
A strong and confident forward, McKeon is an uncommitted Class of 2026 prospect with ECNL Playoff experience. In addition to being a key member of the Florida West FC attack, McKeon is a standout for St. Thomas Aquinas High School in her junior season.

Evan “Evie” Spengler | Defender
Rebels SC 08 (CA)
Recently joined ECNL member club Rebels SC after a successful run in the GA with City SC. Spengler is an uncommitted Class of 2026 defender with a versatile skillset. She has a history of strong performances in major showcases, including a notable effort at last summer’s GA National Finals.

Olivia Dianda | Forward
Rebels SC 08 (CA)
Rebels SC’s leading goal scorer this season, Olivia Dianda is a dynamic forward who is both strong and deceptively fast, dangerous in 1v1 situations, and she can shoot with power using either foot or deliver a pinpoint service to a teammate into the box. Versatile on and off ball, she can break down defenses with her speed and skill which has helped Rebels to an undefeated start this season.

Amaya Jackson | Midfielder
GSA 08 (GA)
Amaya is a standout CM/CDM who combines vision, technique, and tactical intelligence to control the game’s tempo. Known for precise passing, quick decision-making, and the ability to read plays, she is often the core of their team’s build-up and transitions. With excellent stamina and footwork, she can disrupt opposition attacks and quickly initiate forward movement, making her a key asset both defensively and offensively.

Kaylee Rivera | Defender
DKSC 08 (TX)
Rivera is an uncommitted standout defender with international experience, having represented by the U17 Puerto Rican National team. She has been off to a great start this season with DKSC, with 4 assists as a defender. Rivera has been known for her composed play under pressure, tactical intelligence, and strong ball distribution.
2025
Addison Huber | Goalkeeper
DKSC 06/07 (TX)
As an uncommitted 2025 goalkeeper, Huber has just returned to play from ACL surgery earlier this year and she is quickly amping up to her pre-injury form her athleticism is not lacking in spite of several months of recovery. Since returning to the pitch, she has accumulated 183 minutes, allowing only one goal in four games. Look for her to vocally control her back line and aggressively go after any balls inside her 18.
