Colorado State welcomes eight Class of 2025 recruits from four states
FORT COLLINS – Colorado State soccer welcomes eight newcomers to the team with the signing of its 2025 recruiting class. The class features players from four states.
The eight newcomers are joining a program coming off its second straight trip to the Mountain West semifinals, matched the program’s best win total and earned its best regular season finish in the Mountain West.
“We are thrilled to welcome our incredible signing class of eight talented student-athletes! Each player brings unique skills and passion to our program, and we can’t wait to see them shine on the field and in our community,” head coach Keeley Hagen said. “Together, they embody the spirit of teamwork and excellence that defines our women’s soccer program!”
Piper Carlson | Defender | 5-10 | Lakewood, Colo. | Green Mountain High School
Piper Carlson decided to stay in state for her college career making the trip from Lakewood to Fort Collins. Carlson was a four-year starter for Green Mountain High School, earning first team all-conference honors twice. She was the team’s MVP and defender of the year at Green Mountain. The daughter of Kelly and Todd Carlson plans to major in health and exercise science.
Why Carlson chose CSU: I loved the atmosphere and the opportunities it offered, as well as the coaching staff and the successful soccer program.
Hadley Delaney | Defender | 5-7 | Salt Lake City, Utah | Skyline High School
Hadley Delaney comes to Fort Collins from Salt Lake City where she competed at Skyline High School. Delaney was a three-year captain for her high school program. She also earned second team all-state in 2023 after being an honorable mention in 2022. Hadley was her team’s MVP in 2022. She comes from a program with a long list of current DI soccer players across the United States. She is the oldest of three to Christopher and Staci Delaney. Her mom, Staci, was a professional soccer player for the North Carolina Courage of the WUSA.
Why Delaney chose CSU: I chose Colorado State because it was close to home. Family is very important to me and being able to drive home was a deal breaker for me. Besides that, Colorado is a beautiful place that is similar to Utah, where I am from. Out of all the schools I was looking at, Colorado State had the best facilities and faculty by far. I am so excited to move next fall and see what more CSU has to offer.
Addison Huber | Goalkeeper | 5-8 | Flower Mound, Texas | Flower Mound High School
Three-star recruit Addison Huber will join the Rams in the fall of 2025 looking to help the Rams in the net. The starter at Flower Mound High School helped her team to the Bi-District 5-6A championship in 2024. Huber was a Texas ECNL all-regional team selection in 2023. The goalkeeper has put together an impressive resume off the pitch as well, being a part of multiple honor societies. The daughter of Darren and Tracy Huber, Addison plans to major in psychology.
Why Huber chose CSU: I chose CSU because it felt like home. Coach Keeley and her staff’s commitment to building a highly competitive and supportive environment was exactly what I wanted in a college soccer program. The girls felt like family. CSU’s academic programs give me broad options to pursue my interests.
Layla Jakins | Defender | 5-10 | San Luis Obispo, Calif. | San Luis Obispo HS
Defender Layla Jakins comes to CSU from San Luis Obispo, California. Jakins has helped her team to the quarterfinals the past two seasons. The defender has two career goals and three assists over 37 varsity games. Jakins has also excelled in the classroom, earning a spot on the honor roll all four years and being named a scholar student-athlete. The youngest of Tahj and Nikki Jakins, Layla plans to major in health and exercise science. Her dad played professional soccer for the Colorado Rapids and Kansas City Wizards.
Why Jakins chose CSU: I love the community of the school, and I wanted to go somewhere where I could experience all four seasons. I love outdoor activities like hiking, fly fishing, and skiing.
Hanna McKay | Midfielder | 5-4 | Windsor, Colo. | Windsor High School
Three-time all-state selection Hanna McKay will stay home to play college soccer for CSU. A first team selection this past season, McKay has been a second team selection twice. As a freshman, she helped Windsor High School to the top seed in the 4A bracket and state runner-up finish. In the classroom, McKay has been a first team academic all-state member and on her school’s honor roll. The daughter of Juli-ann and Noah McKay plans to major in elementary education.
Why McKay chose CSU: I chose Colorado State because I fell in love with it from the first time I stepped foot on campus. The campus is beautiful and has so much to offer activity wise. When seeing the facilities I was very impressed. I fell in love with the coaching staff and players, the energy and attitudes of every person was very welcoming.
Eden Nicholson | Midfielder | 5-7 | Shingle Springs, Calif. | Carmichael HS
A two-time first team all-conference selection, Nicholson comes to CSU from Shingle Springs, California. She was named to the U-19 ECNL Norcal Conference preseason first team entering this year. Nicholson’s brother, Micah plays baseball for Saint Mary’s (CA). The daughter of Brad and Shanel Nicholson, Eden plans to major in business finance.
Why Nicholson chose CSU: I wanted to play at a program where I would be valued as a soccer player and a human. I also wanted to play for a coach who would push me and help develop me to be the best I can be and have a community in my team. Colorado State checked off all of my boxes in what I wanted in a program and coaching.
Iriana Sarpy | Forward | 5-5 | Rockwall, Texas | Rockwall High School
Iriana Sarpy brings a national champion pedigree to Colorado State being on the 2021 and 2023 ENCL national champion teams. The forward was the 2022 District 10-6A Newcomer of the Year helping Rockwall High School to a state runner-up finish. She went on to earn first team all-district honors in 2024 and second team in 2023. Off the pitch, Sarpy has been an academic all-district member for three years and a part of her school’s National Honors Society. The daughter of LaToya and Quinton, Iriana plans to major in pre-med.
Why Sarpy chose CSU: As soon as I stepped on the campus and met the coaching staff and players I felt very welcomed and it felt like home. I could tell that the culture and bond of the team was unbreakable. I knew that being at CSU would help me accomplish my goals academically and athletically, and make me a better person overall.
Amairany Vidana | Midfielder | 5-0 | Commerce City, Colo. | Adams City High School
Amairany Vidana will make the trip up I-25 to continue her soccer career at Colorado State. Vidana was a first team all-league selection and team’s MVP at Adams City High School. She was on her high school’s honor roll and a member of the National Honors Society. Vidana is the daughter of Maria and Jesus and the youngest of three in her family. She plans to major in health and exercise science.
Why Vidana chose CSU: I chose Colorado State because the second I stepped on campus it felt like home. The coaches and teammates brought out a culture and environment that made me want to be a part of it.
