Players That Impressed: ECNL Girls St. Louis National Event (Winter 2024)
The 2024 ECNL Girls St. Louis National Event took place over the weekend as some of the top teams in the nation gathered for the event.
ECNL St. Louis marked the first ECNL National Event following the conclusion of the 2024 NCAA women’s soccer season, as college recruiting season enters full swing. A total of 246 teams across the U15-U18/19 age groups competed in the showcase. (COLLEGE COACHES)

2028
Brinley solidified the midfield for Hex FC ECNL 2009, helping lead her team to a well-earned 2-2 draw against NVA ECNL 2009 and a dominating 4-0 win against Chicago Inter Soccer ECNL 2009 with her controlled play, line breaking passes, and goal creations.
Brinley scored her team’s most exciting and complete goal of tournament with a leaping header over the top of Chicago Inter’s strong center backs on a beautiful cross whipped-in by her teammate Mia Forney, on a play that she herself started out of the midfield.
Brinley controlled the tempo of the game, consistently winning balls in the midfield, and was key in starting her team’s attacks, earning herself 3 goal involvements in the tournament overall.
2027
Provided a key assist to Jayla Blue on the opening goal of the game for the East Team in the ECNL National Selection Game. VDA 08’s playmaker was sharp on the national stage on what was an overall strong weekend for her club team as well, which was highlighted by a dominant 6-1 win over Concorde Fire Platinum.
In a high profile matchup against PDA 09, McBride worked with the San Juan SC back line to preserve the clean sheet. She also helped set up the game-winning goal in the 1-0 victory, firing a long range throw from the box to catch the PDA defense off guard, as San Juan turned it into a quick scoring opportunity. In two tough matchups, Moore scored the lone goal for San Juan SC 09 to pull off a close win against PDA Blue, on an assist from Maycee Kirby. Moore then had a hat trick in a 3-2 victory over World Class FC, including the late game-winner on another assist from Kirby.
Fernald was extremely active in the midfield for a VDA 09 team which played an impressive brand of tactical and disciplined soccer throughout the National Event. VDA earned a 2-2 draw against Nationals SC and a 1-0 clean sheet win over SUSA, thanks in part to Fernald’s tough and gritty performance in the midfield, especially on the defensive side. Jordan Reigrod
Reigrod went unbeaten on the weekend, splitting time between her 09 Legacy team and PDA’s 08 Wildfire Blue team. Reigrod was a key element in building out of the back for both squads, utilizing her patience and footwork to switch fields and re-initiate the attack. Most notably, however was the high number of saves on Saturday morning with Wildfire to end the game in a 2-2 tie after facing a battery of long-range and point blank shots from the Challenge SC attack.
The always-dangerous attacking player produced at a high rate for SUSA 09, turning in a dominant performance with a hat trick against Internationals SC in the tournament opener. (HIGHLIGHTS)

Kennedy McCausland | Goalkeeper
FC Prime 08 (FL)
McCausland and the FC Prime back line combined for an all-around outstanding effort in St. Louis, limiting their 3 opponents to 2 total goals. FC Prime 08 had a perfect showing at the showcase, earning a pair of clean sheets, with their only 2 goals conceded coming against a prolific Nationals SC squad.

Ava Sexton | Defender
Sting Royal 09 (TX)
The center back captained her team to 2 more shutouts (17 on the season) against XF Academy and United Futbol Academy in St.Louis. Sting Royal’s defense leads the country in the 2009 age group, among qualifying teams, for the least amount of goals allowed (9). Ava stayed composed and limited the amount of shots taken by the opposing team. She carried the ball forward and gave her team chances to score while running down the speedy forwards and used perfectly-timed slide tackles to prevent them from taking shots.
2026
FC DELCO 08’s team captain took over the game on Friday against Internationals SC, recording a hat trick and contributing an assist during a 6-3 win. Karpinski showcased her long-range shooting ability, along with her creativity and knack for maneuvering in tight spaces. (HIGHLIGHTS)
A standout for Sting Austin 07/06, Clark showed college coaches her well-rounded attacking skillset in matchups against Sporting Blue Valley and Florida Krush. The uncommitted Class of 2026 midfielder set up teammate Julianna Millin with an assist against Sporting BV, and she got in on the scoring herself against Florida Krush, finishing off a great feed from Millin.
Vann was a strong presence between the posts for Concorde Fire 08 Premier, piling up 22 saves over the course of 2 games, which resulted in a win and a draw. The uncommitted Class of 2026 keeper continues to catch the attention of college scouts at top-level showcases in her junior year. (HIGHLIGHTS)
The uncommitted 2026 prospect showed out in front of college scouts in St. Louis, serving as the spark plug in the Washington Premier 08 attack in a comeback win over WNY Flash Academy. Coates scored a goal and assisted another in the victory. (HIGHLIGHTS)

Jayla Blue | Forward
FC Alliance 08 (TN)
The future Tennessee Volunteer was simply unstoppable in the ECNL National Selection Game, leading the East Team to a 5-3 victory as she found the net 4 times. Blue set the tone with a brace in the first 10 minutes of the game, and came through in the clutch with 2 more scores in the second half of the high-flying showdown.

Mia Conard | Defensive Midfielder
FC Prime 08 (FL)
An uncommitted Class of 2026 defensive midfielder, Conard was instrumental during FC Prime’s perfect showing in St. Louis, as she contributed to a pair of clean sheets and another hard-fought 3-2 win over a dynamic Nationals SC squad. Conard’s two-way abilities were on full display, as she also showed off her outstanding field vision and passing skills on the attacking side.

Washington Premier 08 (WA)
The 2-time ECNL Conference Cup selection had 26 saves in the 2 games that Washington Premier 08 was able to play while in St. Louis. She played every minute of action at the showcase, and caught the attention of dozens of college scouts with her outstanding reflexes and athleticism, making stops from closer range and beyond. Recorded a brace in the ECNL National Selection Game, spearheading the West Team’s attack in a thrilling matchup. The future Boise State midfielder, who stars for Sporting Iowa ECNL program, went toe-to-toe with the East Team’s Jayla Blue as she scored each of the West Team’s first 2 goals of the game.

Julianna Millin | Forward
Sting Austin 07/06 (TX)
Poised to play for SMU starting in Fall 2025, Millin is in top form during her final season of ECNL soccer with Sting Austin. She has great chemistry with teammate Amelia Clark, as the duo each set each other up for goals in St. Louis with some sharp, decisive passing and creative team play.
