Northern Virginia Alliance joins MLS NEXT and Girls Academy for 2025-26

Northern Virginia Alliance (NVA) has announced that the club is joining two of the nation’s preeminent leagues for the 2025-26 season. See below for the official releases on the future of the NVA boys’ and girls’ programs.
NVA Partners with MLS NEXT
Leesburg, VA – In a significant move for youth soccer development in the DMV, the Northern Virginia Alliance (NVA) is excited to announce their affiliation with MLS NEXT beginning in the 2025/26 season. This partnership will provide NVA’s male players with new opportunities to grow and showcase their talents within one of the nation’s premier youth soccer leagues.
MLS NEXT, the nation’s leading youth development league, offers top players a high level of competition, while fostering development and creating clear pathways to professional soccer. In focusing specifically on player development, MLS NEXT aligns with NVA’s values, enabling players to compete against top-tier teams across the country, while also preparing them for the next stages of their soccer careers, whether that be college recruitment or even professional opportunities.
In joining the MLS NEXT league, NVA positions their athletes for greater success by exposing them to an elite competitive environment, connecting them with scouts, college programs, and professional opportunities. This partnership marks a milestone for youth soccer in the region, emphasizing NVA’s commitment to providing top-level development for players both on and off the field.

NVA Announces Girls Academy Membership
Leesburg, VA – The Northern Virginia Alliance (NVA) is excited to announce its official membership in the Girls Academy (GA) youth soccer league for the 2025/26 season. This partnership aligns with NVA’s mission to provide the best development opportunities for elite female soccer players.
The Girls Academy is renowned for its player development focus, offering top-tier coaching, competitive play, and national exposure. NVA’s inclusion in the league will allow teams to compete at the highest level while accessing elite training programs designed to foster both athletic and personal growth.

NVA will field teams in the U13-U19 age groups (birth years 2013-2007), and will compete against top clubs across the country. The move marks a new era for NVA soccer, offering athletes a premier platform to achieve their collegiate and professional goals.
