U.S. U-15 Boys’ National Team falls 1-0 to Brazil in Copa Mexico de Naciones opener

MEXICO CITY – The U.S. Under-15 Boys’ National Team lost its opening match of the Copa Mexico de Naciones 1-0 to Brazil at Centro de Capacitacion.

The two sides were headed to a scoreless draw, but in the final minutes Brazil took the lead, benefitting from a USA own goal in the 66th minute. Games at the Copa Mexico de Naciones are 70 minutes in length.

The USA returns to action when it faces Panama on Sunday, Aug. 11.

The U.S. squad is coached by U-17 Men’s National Team head coach Richie Williams as he is leading this U-15 Boys’ National Team pool into the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup cycle.
