Dallas Cup U13-U19 Knockout Stage Recaps
(Via Dallas Cup) – The Dallas Cup continued on Friday with semifinal rounds in the U-13 through Super Group divisions.
Under 13 – Semi finals
Tigres matched up against CFJ North 02/03 Pre-Academy with a trip to Saturday final on the line. Tigres got a pair of first half goals from Abraham Rodriguez in the 16th and 32nd minute and that is all the team from Mexico would need in the match. The match ended 2-0 in favor of Tigres.
Solar Chelsea 03B earned a trip to the finals with their 1-0 win over Chicago Magic PSG U13 Pre-Academy. The match was scoreless until Solar Chelsea’s Matthew Henry scored the game winner in the 72nd minute. The team from Texas will play Tigres for the Under 13 Championship Saturday morning at 9:00 am at Toyota Stadium in Frisco.

Under 14 – Semi finals
FC Dallas Youth O2B Central defeated FC Golden State B01 Black, 1-0. An early goal scored by FC Dallas’ Ivan Juarez in the 5th minute was the lone goal in the match.
In the other semi-finals matchup, two Californian sides squared off as FC Los Angeles B01 Black earned a spot in the final after winning in PKs. They will play FC Dallas Youth 02 in the U14 final on Saturday morning at 10:45 am at Toyota Stadium.
Under 15 – Semi finals
Eintacht Frankfurt won their semi-finals match 8-2 against Sereno 01 Boys White. Kahan Kuscu and Jonas-Gabriel Pfalz each had a pair of goals in the match. The German side has scored 17 goals in their quarterfinals and semifinals matchups.
Tigres earned a hard fought 1-0 win over AC Brea B00 in their semi-finals matchup. Ruben Perez scored the lone goal of the match in the 22nd minute. Tigres has won every game they have played in this year’s Dr Pepper Dallas Cup. The U-15 championship will have an international flavor as Germany’s Eintacht Frankfurt and Mexico’s Tigres will be squaring off on Saturday at 12:30 pm at Toyota Stadium.
Under 16 – Semi finals
Mexico’s CF Monterrey defeated La Premier FC, 2-0. An early goal by Diego Moreno in the 2nd minute got things going for Monterrey. The match remained 1-0 until stoppage time when Luis Carrillo added one more goal to make the game out of reach for La Premier FC. Monterrey will be headed to the finals of the Under 16 division of the Dr Pepper Dallas Cup.
The other semi-final match featured Crossfire Premier 2000 USSDA Pre-Academy and Andromeda FC 00B Red in a match that would require penalty kicks to determine a winner. This hard fought game was scoreless all the way through extra time. Andromeda ended up winning the penalty kick shootout 4-3. They will move on to the championship match against CF Monterrey.

Under 17 – Semi finals
New York SC B98 defeated Dallas Texans 99B Red in penalty kicks to earn a spot in the final. The teams traded first half goals. Dallas Texas went ahead in the 49th minute from a goal scored by Landon Gibson. They maintained the one goal lead until the 90th minute, but in stoppage time New York SC’s Enzo Sangiacomo tied up the match. New York SC went on to win the penalty kick shootout 4-2.
Solar Chelsea 99B Red will also be moving on to the final after a 2-1 victory over Pipeline SC Black. A 70th minute goal scored by Solar Chelsea’s Angel Ramirez was the difference in the match. They will match up against New York SC B98 Sunday morning at Toyota Stadium.
Super 17s – Semi finals
Tigres secured their spot in the final after blanking Queretaro FC, 2-0. Brayan Lizacno (8’) and Juan Rodriguez (42’) each got on the scoresheet.
FC Golden State BU 16 USSDA won their semi-finals matchup against Maryland’s Loudoun SC 98 Red, 3-1. The match was knotted 1-1 at the end of regulation, but two extra-time goals scored by Harold Hansen gave FC Golden State the win. They will play Tigres on Sunday to determine the winner of the Super 17s division.

Under 19 – Quarter finals
FC Golden State White defeated West Coast FC, 6-1, in their quarterfinal matchup. West Coast FC got the opening goal of the game in the 15th minute from Bulus Galadima Jr, but that would be all of the scoring for the team. FC Golden State quickly erased the deficit with a pair of goals from Maicon Abreu (36’, 39’) and Ezequiel da Silva (48’, 63’). Gabriel Costa and Eric Perez later added goals of their own in the win.
Prepa Tec MTY took care of business against FCUSA Texas 98B in their quarterfinal matchup at MoneyGram Park. A pair of goals by Alejandro Riviera helped pave the way to the semis for Prepa Tec MTY. Alberto Azzario (4’) and Jose Maiz (72’) also got on the scoresheet. The match ended 4-0 and they will prepare for their next matchup against FC Golden State White.
England’s LFC Foundation U19s will be moving on to the semi-finals after their win today over Houston Dynamo Monterrey. Michael Muscat scored in the 77th minute to make the score 1-0, but right before full-time, Houston Dynamo Monterrey’s Roberto Reyes-Rico leveled the game in the 89th minute. Muscat scored again in extra-time and his 2nd goal proved to be the game winner as the match ended 2-1.
California Rush 97/98 punched their ticket to the semi-finals with a win over Knowsley Youth in a match that would require extra time. In regulation, Knowsley Youth got a goal from Connor Grainger. California Rush got an equalizing goal in the 40th minute from Jacob Montes and the score would remain 1-1 into extra time. Three goals in extra time for California Rush 97/98B shifted momentum in the match (William Aurioles 92’; Jose Flores 95’; Ruben Arellano 110’). Knowsley Youth added one more goal by Samuel Turnbull in the 110th minute, but the match ended in favor of California Rush. They will play another English team in the semi-finals as they will face off against LFC Foundation U19s.
