OMG! What a Goal! Dempsey scores equalizer for Tottenham, keeps Champions League hopes alive [Video Highlights]
American Clint Dempsey scored a long distance equalizer for Tottenham after going down a goal against Stoke City on Sunday. Emmanuel Adebayor hit the late winner to give the Spurs the 2-1 win. With the win, Tottenham rises above Arsenal into fourth place, which would qualify them for the UEFA Champions League.
After a poor defensive clear to the middle of the field, Dempsey one-timed the ball from over 30 yards out into an empty net.
With one week of games to go, there is still room for movement in the table, as Arsenal is only down two points, and Tottenham are down three points behind Chelsea.
