FRISCO, Texas (Sept. 4, 2019) — The US Youth Soccer Great Lakes Conference, one of the 13 Conferences within the US Youth Soccer Leagues Program, has announced the addition of Javanon FC (KY) and Lexington FC (KY) to list of boys clubs in the Club vs. Club Divisions.

The standards-based Club vs. Club Divisions in the Great Lakes Conference are available to top clubs in the 15U-19U age groups, with play beginning in the Spring 2020 season for boys and girls teams in the Great Lakes Conference.

The Club vs. Club Divisions and initial lists of participating clubs were announced on Aug. 9. The addition of Javanon FC and Lexington FC completes the field of eight clubs for the inaugural season of boys competition in the Club vs. Club Divisions of the Great Lakes Conference, to go along with eight clubs in the girls competition.

The Club vs. Club Divisions will allow the first place teams in the 15U-17U age groups to qualify for the following season’s National League — the national tier and highest level of play in the US Youth Soccer Leagues Program.

In the 15U through 19U age groups, the top team in the Club vs. Club Divisions (that is not a State Cup Champion) will have the opportunity to qualify for the current seasonal year’s US Youth Soccer Regional Championships, either through direct qualification or through a wildcard selection process.
