LMVSC appoints Vincent Vergamini to new Director of Recreation role
Alexandria, VA – The Lee Mount Vernon Sports Club (LMVSC) has appointed Vincent Vergamini as the new Director of Recreation starting July 1, 2020.
He will be responsible for coach development and training as well as supervising the Recreational Soccer program and activities. His role will be vital both administratively and directly on the fields to ensure that LMVSC’s Recreational Soccer program continues to grow and develop. LMVSC’s recreational program is the largest program within the Club serving 1500+ players, 300+ volunteers and 100s of referees.
Vergamini had the following to say on accepting his new role with LMVSC, “I’m really excited for this expanded role with LMVSC. I look forward to continuing to grow the club’s already incredible Recreational Soccer Program. I especially look forward to working closely with the coaches to support them in developing our young athletes.”
Vergamini currently holds his USSF A-Youth Soccer Coaching License, USC Director of Coaching Diploma, USC Goalkeeper Level 1 Diploma and various other certifications. He brings a little over 16 years of coaching experience at the High School and Club level of competition. As a former Academy Director for another youth organization, Vincent will be a true asset to the club and to the Recreational Soccer program, specifically.
LMVSC’s Executive Director, Lula Bauer, had this to say about the transitioning: “With the growth and success of the LMVSC Recreational Program, designating a full-time Director whose sole focus is to manage the day to day operations, is a positive direction forward. Vince is not a stranger to LMVSC and is familiar with all the programs offered. His transition will be impacting and seamless”.
