Marist College women’s soccer team welcomes 10 newcomers

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Though Marist Women’s Soccer will not compete in the Fall 2020 semester, the program has welcomed 10 newcomers ahead of the upcoming semester.

The group includes nine freshmen in the Marist Class of 2024 and one transfer. Two forwards, four midfielders, three defenders, and one goalkeeper make up the new Red Foxes, with a number of student-athletes featuring experience playing multiple positions. Five states are represented: Connecticut (3), New York (2), Massachusetts (2), New Jersey (2), and Pennsylvania (1).

Kaitlyn Bogucki
5-7 | Defender | Middletown, CT | Mercy

Kaitlyn Bogucki earned four varsity letters as a center back.
As a captain in her senior year, she was named All-State and team MVP, picking up All-Southern Connecticut Conference First Team and All-New Haven Register Team awards. She was named a top-five player to watch in the CIAC Tournament that season as well.
She also ran indoor track during her senior season, playing a role in the school sprint medley relay record on her way to All-SCC honors.
Bogucki also played club ball for FSA FC of the ECNL for four years.
In the classroom, she was inducted into the National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society.

Amanda Caldarelli
5-1 | Midfielder | Stoneham, MA | Stoneham

Amanda Caldarelli, twin sister of Samantha, registered 92 points as a central midfielder during her high school career, winning three Middlesex League Freedom Division championships with Stoneham.
She is a four-time Middlesex League All-Star, three-time Massachusetts All-State honoree, three-time Division 3 North Player of the Year, three-time Middlesex League Freedom Division MVP, three-time Eastern Massachusetts All-Star, three-time Boston Herald All-Scholastic honoree, two-time Middlesex League All-Conference selection, and two-time Boston Globe All-Scholastic recipient.
In the 2019-20 academic year, she was named the Boston Globe Division 3 Girls Soccer Athlete of the Year as Stoneham was a Division 3 state finalist. Earlier this year, she was selected as the Stoneham High School Female Athlete of the Year.
She played her club ball with Scorpions SC of the ECNL, where she was a Northeast ECNL Player Development Program invite in 2017 and a Northeast Conference Player to Watch in 2019.
Amanda Caldarelli was also a member of the National Honor Society. She was a Youth Action Coalition leader for two years.

Samantha Caldarelli
5-2 | Forward | Stoneham, MA | Stoneham

Samantha Caldarelli, twin sister of Amanda, earned four letters on the varsity team at Stoneham High School, and became the first varsity player to tally over 100 career points, finishing with 124.
She is a four-time Middlesex League All-Star, three-time Team Offensive Player of the Year, two-time All-Conference player, and two-time Eastern Massachusetts All-Star.
As a senior captain in 2019, she was named Co-MVP of the Middlesex League Freedom Division, and earned Massachusetts All-State, Boston Herald All-Scholastic, and Boston Globe All-Scholastic honors as Stoneham was a Division 3 state finalist.
In the past five years, Samantha Caldarelli played club ball with Scorpions SC of the ECNL the last five seasons, being named a Northeast Conference Player to Watch in 2019. Scorpions SC placed fifth at ECNL Nationals in 2018 as well.
She is a two-year National Honor Society member, and has participated in the Youth Action Coalition and the Gender Sexuality Alliance in high school.

Caroline Campion
5-8 | Midfielder/Forward | Cheshire, CT | Cheshire

Caroline Campion was a four-year varsity player who served as a team captain in her senior year, though she missed the season due to injury.
She led her team in points and goals scored during the 2017 and 2018 seasons, the latter season leading to her winning the Coach’s MVP Award and earning South Connecticut All-Conference honors.
During her career, Cheshire won the Housatonic Division in 2017 and 2019, and were Southern Connecticut Conference champions in 2016.
Campion played club ball for Connecticut FC United of the ECNL. From 2017-19, the team finished top 10 nationally.
With her help in 2018, Connecticut FC United captured the Northeast ECNL championship in 2018.

Bridget Dudziec
5-3 | Forward/Midfielder | Andover, NJ | Lenape Valley Regional

Bridget Dudziec was a four-year varsity starter with playing experience on both wings, as well as midfield.
In her high school career at Lenape Valley Regional, she scored 85 goals and 37 assists, earning the Golden Boot award, First Team All-Conference, and First Team All-Herald in all four years. She was named Student-Athlete of the Year at Lenape Valley in her freshman campaign as well.
In her senior year, she totaled 33 goals and 18 assists as a team captain, being named a high school All-American and adding an assist in the All-American All-Star game.
Dudziec played club ball with World Class FC, where her team made the ECNL National Champions League finals from 2016-2018 and reached the top four in 2019.
She has also earned invites to the ECNL national training camp and ID2 National Olympic Camp.

Emily Harwood
5-5 | Midfielder | Monroe, NY | Monroe-Woodbury

Emily Harwood primarily operated as a central midfielder for Monroe-Woodbury High School.
During her tenure, the Crusaders won Class AA state titles in 2018 and 2019, and Section 9 championships from 2017-19.
Individually, she was an NYSSWA Fifth Team All-State selection and Varsity 845 All-Star.
Harwood played club ball with Force FC 2002 of the NPL, which collected a PDA Showcase championship in May of 2019.
Her older sister, Sydney, is a rising senior and former All-MAAC Second Team and All-Rookie member at MAAC-rival Manhattan.

Chance Hendricks
5-7 | Defender/Midfielder | Dublin, PA | Pennridge

Chance Hendricks earned four varsity letters at Pennridge High School, earning conference championships in all four of her season.
In her senior year, she garnered First Team All-League, First Team All-Bucks & Montgomery County, and Second Team All-Intell honors as Pennridge reached the state semifinals and was ranked 24^th in the country.
The Lady Rams were state finalists when she was a junior, and she earned All-League honors during her sophomore year as well.
Hendricks played club ball with FC Bucks of the ECNL, starting all five seasons she played. The program was ranked in the top 30 for two seasons, and played in the champions league at Nationals for two years in a row.
Her mother, Mickey, played collegiate soccer at Kutztown University.

Taylor Hennig
5-2 | Midfielder | Farmington, CT | Farmington (Hartford)

Taylor Hennig transfers to Marist from the University of Hartford with three seasons of eligibility remaining.
In 2018, she picked up two assists against MAAC foes Siena and Manhattan as the Hawks won the America East regular season championship. She redshirted in 2019.
Hennig was a two-time America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll recipient during her time at Hartford.
At Farmington High School, she recorded 54 goals and 48 assists as a four-year varsity starter, earning All-State recognition in her senior year as a team captain. She was also a four-time Central Connecticut Conference All-Conference and three-time Hartford Courant All-Courant Team pick in her career.
She played club ball for FSA FC, being selected as a captain for the ECNL side and participating in the ECNL PDP.
Her mother, Julie, played soccer at UConn, while her father, Art, did so at Hartford.

Kelly Lambertson
5-9 | Goalkeeper | Matawan, NJ | Matawan Regional

Kelly Lambertson, a four-varsity player and two-time captain, collected 469 career saves and 15 shutouts at Matawan Regional.
In 2019, she was on the High School All-American Watch List, and went on to earn team Overall MVP, Shore Conference Class B North Coaches All-Division, and Shore Conference Second Team, and Shore Conference Senior All-Star Team honors.
In her junior year in 2018, Matawan was a Central Group 2 State Sectional Finalist, as she picked up Shore Conference Class B North Coaches All-Division and team Defensive MVP recognition.
Lambertson played club ball with Match Fit Academy 2002 of the ECNL. The program qualified for the postseason from 2016-19.
Her sister, Kacey, is a rising senior goalkeeper for Vermont.

Samantha Roberts
5-5 | Defender | Pearl River, NY | Pearl River

Samantha Roberts boasts experience as an outside back from Pearl River High School, which went 18-2-3 last season to reach the Class A state semifinals.
She was a Section 1 Elite 11 member who was nominated for the Journal News/lohud Player of the Year in her senior campaign, when the Lady Pirates were regional champions and didn’t allow a goal in 16 contests.
Roberts garnered All-League and All-Rockland County recognition in her career as well as Pearl River reached the state final in three of her four seasons and earned a share of the title in 2017.
Her club team was World Class FC, the same team as Dudziec.
The program appeared in the ECNL final four in 2019.
