Big 12 champion TCU welcomes five transfers ahead of 2021 season
FORT WORTH – TCU women’s soccer head coach Eric Bell announced the addition of five transfers to the 2021 signing class.
Transferring to TCU this fall will be Kinsey Ehmann (Pepperdine), Alex Fava (Kentucky), Skylar Heinrich (Creighton), Dana Reed (LMU) and Jenna Winebrenner (Notre Dame).
Ehmann, a goalkeeper from Paradise Valley, Ariz., transfers after three seasons at Pepperdine. She has started 17 games as part of 22 appearances for the Wave. As a redshirt freshman in 2019, she notched seven shutouts and picked up nine wins in her 15 starts. She earned a spot on the WCC All-Freshman team. This past season, Ehmann started two games as part of six appearances on the year.
A native from Lutherville, Maryland, Fava has spent the past two seasons at Kentucky. She has appeared in 22 games in her time with the Wildcats. As a freshman in 2019, Fava started five of the 18 games played. She tallied one goal, the game-winner against Eastern Kentucky. This past season, she played in four games.
Heinrich, an Omaha, Neb. Native, spent the previous two seasons at Creighton. The 2019 Big East Freshman of the Year and second-team all-conference performer, Heinrich led the team with 11 goals and two assists for 24 points. This past season, she played in and started all 10 games for the Blue Jays. She ranked third on the team with five points (2 goals, 1 assist) and paced the squad with 24 shots.
Reed hails from Highland, Md. She has spent the past three seasons at LMU after transferring from LSU following her freshman campaign. She appeared in 20 games in her time with the Lions. An injury in 2019 ended her season just one game into the campaign. She made 14 appearances in her one season at LSU where she contributed two goals and three assists.
A native of Kansas City, Winebrenner has played in 55 games for the Fighting Irish. In her time at Notre Dame, she has tallied two goals and three assists for seven points. She has totaled almost 4,000 minutes on the field in her collegiate career. Notre Dame has tallied 22 shutouts in her time on campus.
They join the group of six student-athletes making their way to TCU in the fall: Jacqueline Barnes (Spring, Texas), Brenna Brosam (Frisco, Texas), Paige Crews (Orange Park, Fla.), Camryn Lancaster (Mansfield, Texas), Lauren Memoly (Laguna Hills, Calif) and Olivia Pena (Irving, Texas).
