USMNT holding workouts for MLS players still in contention for World Cup roster

CHICAGO – The U.S. Men’s National Team will hold fitness workouts from Oct. 25-Nov. 5 in Frisco, Texas, for MLS-based players who are in contention for the World Cup roster and no longer in league competition. The following players will report Oct. 25 to Frisco:

  • Paul Arriola (FC Dallas)
  • Jesús Ferreira (FC Dallas)
  • Aaron Long (New York Red Bulls)
  • Shaq Moore (Nashville SC)
  • Jordan Morris (Seattle Sounders)
  • Cristian Roldan (Seattle Sounders)
  • Gaga Slonina (Chicago Fire)
  • DeAndre Yedlin (Inter Miami)
  • Walker Zimmerman (Nashville SC)

Players will continue to be added as their seasons are completed.

The U.S. Soccer Federation will host an exclusive roster reveal event at Brooklyn Steel in New York City on Wednesday, Nov. 9 to announce the 26-player roster that will represent the United States in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The event will be carried exclusively on ESPN2 and live streamed on ESPN+ beginning at 5 p.m. ET.

The U.S. Men’s National Team will open World Cup group play against Wales on Nov. 21, face England on Friday, Nov. 25 and finish the first round against Iran on Nov. 29. All three of the USA’s group stage games will kick off at 2 p.m. ET live on FOX and Telemundo.
