Former University of Richmond head coach Marty Beall joins VCU staff

RICHMOND, Va. – VCU women’s soccer head coach Lindsey Martin announced the hiring of Marty Beall as an assistant coach, bringing over two decades of experience to the Ram staff.

“I am thrilled to have Marty join us on staff,” said Martin. “We have known each other for 20 years, so I know the caliber of person and coach that he is and I think we are getting a steal here. He has decades of collegiate experience that will benefit our program tremendously on and off the field.”

Beall joins the VCU women’s soccer staff after spending the previous five seasons as the women’s soccer head coach at Richmond. Hired in 2017, he was the second women’s soccer head coach in Richmond history and he compiled a record of 20-50-9.

“I’m absolutely thrilled about becoming a part of the VCU staff,” exclaimed Beall. “Under Lindsey’s leadership, VCU has emerged as one of the top teams in the Atlantic 10 conference. I feel incredibly fortunate to have this chance to contribute to the growth and success of this remarkable program!”
