CHARLESTON, S.C. – US Club Soccer and its members will host U.S. Soccer ‘B’ coach licensing courses for the first time beginning next year. Seven ‘B’ courses have been approved by U.S. Soccer and will be hosted in multiple regions throughout the country between January-June 2024. Additional ‘B’ courses will be hosted in the second half of the year and announced at a later date.

“We greatly appreciate U.S. Soccer’s confidence in us to host these ‘B’ courses,” said Dr. Missy Price, US Club Soccer VP of Education & Development. “This is a major improvement in making coach education more accessible. US Club Soccer offers multiple stages of a coach’s licensing pathway, beginning with grassroots and progressing through ‘D,’ ‘C’ and now ‘B’ licenses. We’re excited by the impact this will have on coaches, clubs, leagues and ultimately, players.”

Registration to the following ‘B’ courses opens October 1 in the U.S. Soccer Learning Center, and more details will be released soon. The dates listed are the first and second in-person course dates:

It is considered among the “Pro Pathway” of U.S. Soccer’s coach licensing pathway, and as such, coach candidates are prepped to work with youth (U-13+) or senior teams in a performance environment. Course goals include applying and evaluating team and player development related to a game model, as well as analyzing, evaluating and optimizing the learning environment for the team and individual players.
