Winger Alex Zendejas joins USMNT camp ahead of high-profile October friendlies
CHICAGO – Alex Zendejas has been added to the USMNT training camp roster preparing for the upcoming high-profile friendlies against four-time World Cup champion Germany and African powerhouse Ghana. The Club América winger replaces midfielder Malik Tillman, who has withdrawn due to injury.
Zendejas, 25, has earned seven caps for the senior team since confirming his commitment to represent the United States in March of 2023. The Mexican-American has recorded one goal and one assist, appearing in four matches during the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup.
The U.S. first faces Germany, presented by AT&T, on Oct. 14 in East Hartford, Conn. Kickoff from Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field is set for 3 p.m. ET and the match will be available live on TNT, Telemundo and Peacock. Three days later, the USA takes on The Black Stars in its first visit to GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tenn. The match will kickoff at 8:30 p.m. ET and be available on TNT, Universo and Peacock. Live Spanish-language audio for both matches will also be available on Futbol de Primera.
