Bethesda-Olney U-15/16s take over Development Academy playoff spot with wins over FC DELCO, Baltimore Bays
This weekend in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Atlantic Division, Richmond United and D.C. United faced off on a club-wide basis, and Bethesda-Olney teams took advantage of favorable match-ups to gain valuable ground in the playoff chase. The Olney U-15/16 and U-17/18 sides combined to go 4-0-0 against Continental FC DELCO and Baltimore Bays, as the U-15/16s took over a playoff spot and the U-17/18s pulled within fractions of a point of taking over a spot as well.
Potomac area ECNL review: Maryland United U-16s revive playoff hopes with two wins in Ohio
While some Potomac area ECNL players took part in the Mid-Atlantic Player Development Program event in Richmond, Va., Maryland United traveled to Ohio as a club and several other local U-14 sides competed in divisional match-ups. Top performances on the weekend included the Maryland United U-16s who went a perfect 2-0-0 with wins against Ohio Premier and Internationals SC, and the Maryland United U-15s who earned two draws against the same clubs.

Schedule and rosters announced for ECNL Mid-Atlantic PDP
The rosters and schedule for the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) Player Development Program event to be held in Richmond, VA on May 2-3, 2015, have been announced. The event will be held at West Creek Soccer Complex, with some of the best players from the following ECNL clubs in the Mid-Atlantic Conference: Bethesda SC, CASL, FC Virginia, McLean YS, NC Fusion, and Richmond United.

One of the top storylines in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy this weekend was D.C. United meeting Bethesda-Olney for a pivotal game between teams that are neck-and-neck for the final Wild Card spot in the U-15/16 age group. What could have been a momentous match for either of the crosstown rivals resulted in a stalemate, with the teams playing to a thrilling 3-3 draw on Saturday.

D.C. United Academy U-15/16s take over Wild Card spot, Bethesda-Olney U-17/18s make playoff push
A 5-0 win for D.C. United Academy's U-15/16 U.S. Soccer Development Academy squad over Baltimore Bays Chelsea on Saturday combined with a 1-0 loss for Bethesda-Olney against Everton FC Westchester allowed United to leapfrog Bethesda and take over a Wild Card spot for this summer's USSDA playoffs. In the U-17/18 age group, Bethesda-Olney boosted their push for a playoff spot with a 4-0 rout of Everton at Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, Md.
