The US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP) Boys Region I 2001 team recently completed a trip to Italy to participate in the Piccole Grandi Squadre Tournament. Region I netted a top-four finish in a tournament that featured 36 teams with European youth national teams, as well as academy teams from prestigious clubs in Italy among the field. Lorenzo Gordon, Ryan Levay, Dennis Mensah, Alexander Robles, Jack Ruddy, Tyler Smith and Garret Socas represented Virginia for the Region I squad.

US Youth Soccer has announced the National League Under-14, Under-15, Under-16, Under-17 and Under-18 Boys and Girls teams that have qualified to compete in the 2015 National Championships, which are being held July 20-26 in Tulsa, Okla.
