The 2015-16 NPL Showcase (Girls) will be held in Palm Coast, Fla., Dec. 31-Jan. 2, marking the second consecutive year US Club Soccer hosts a national showcase event for U-15 through U-17 girls age groups.
US Club Soccer hosts 193-player expanded PDP in Florida
An expanded Player Development Program (PDP) event held April 4 at the Indian Trails Sports Complex in Palm Coast, Fla., helped identify 193 of the area’s top youth players with 1997-2002 birth years. A total of 28 clubs were represented.
Chantilly YA, Vienna YS join Virginia NPL for Fall 2015
The Virginia NPL, one of two new leagues in the NPL platform for the 2014-15 season, is welcoming a pair of new clubs for the 2015-16 season. Chantilly Youth Association and Vienna Youth Soccer will join the Virginia NPL beginning in fall 2015, increasing the total number of clubs to 12.
id2 training camp in California forms foundation for current id2 age groups cycle
A total of 106 players from 66 clubs across the country participated in the id² Training Camp held at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif., March 26-29. This was the first id2 Training Camp of the cycle, targeting boys born in 2002 and girls born in 2001.
US Club Soccer announces Board of Directors election results
Mike Sweeney (Region II) and Tom Atencio (Region IV) have both been re-elected to the US Club Soccer Board of Directors. In addition, Mike Cullina (Region I) and George Fotopoulos (Region III) were elected as new members, and all four will serve two-year terms.
