After strong 2023 season, Xavier reloads for 2024 with 10-player recruiting class
CINCINNATI – Xavier women’s soccer head coach Nate Lie announced a 10-person signing class this week, with the new Musketeers set to join the program for the Fall 2024 season.
Xavier is coming off another strong season in 2023, as the Musketeers finished with 14-3-4 regular season record and earned a No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
The program’s 2024 signing class includes four in-state products from across Ohio. The other six members of the class hail from Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Mississippi.

McKinley Berry
McKinley Berry is a center back from Saginaw, Mich., where she attends Heritage High School.
Berry has 14 years of experience playing club soccer, most recently with Nationals (GA). During her time on the squad, she helped the team to the State Cup Championship in 2019, and a third-place finish in the GA National Tournament in 2023, with the team posting an undefeated league record since spring 2021.
She has been a Mid America Talent ID Call Up three times, and a USYNT Regional ID Camp Call Up during her prep career. She also ran cross country at Heritage High School, qualifying for state twice.
Berry plans on majoring in Political Science at Xavier. She’s the daughter of Leisha and David Berry and has one sibling, Tyler.
Samantha Erbach
Samantha Erbach is a forward originally from Lebanon, Ohio, who attends Waynesville High School. She plays club soccer for Ohio Elite in the ECNL.
Erbach has spent four seasons on the varsity squad for coach Kelly Bricker, collecting 145 career goals and 63 career assists for Waynesville, helping the team to over 70 wins and the 2021 State Championship. She has earned All-American honors during her prep career, as well as earning Southwest Ohio Player of the Year, All-State, All-Region, District Player of the Year and Conference Player of the Year.
She was twice named the Cincinnati Soccer Player of the Year and was also named the USA Today Ohio Female Athlete of the Year and earned a spot on the Sports Illustrated Top 21 Soccer Players in the Nation. She is also a standout track athlete at Waynesville.
Erbach plans on majoring in Biology at Xavier. She is the daughter of Jeremy and Kristen Erbach and has three siblings, Kendal, Hope and Bo. Kendal is a member of the cross country and track & field program at NKU.
Kate Friday
Kate Friday is a midfielder from Fox Chapel, Pa., where she attends Fox Chapel High School.
Friday is a four-year member of the varsity team for Carlo Prati at Fox Chapel. She helped the program to nearly 40 wins during her career, earning All-WPIAL twice, All-Section First Team three times, and Big 56 and Player to Watch three times.
Friday also lettered in track three years at Fox Chapel. She has nine years of experience playing club, spending the last eight with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds Academy.
Friday plans on majoring in Business at Xavier. She is the daughter of Dana and Charles Friday and has three siblings, Anne, Megan and Sara. Megan plays basketball at Case Western.
Morgan Goodman
Morgan Goodman is a midfielder from Manlius, N.Y., who attends Fayetteville-Manlius High School.
Goodman is a five-year starter for head coach Brent Ostrander at Fayetteville-Manlius, and will finish her career as the program’s all-time leading scorer, with program records in total assists and overall points. She collected 183 points on 73 goals and 37 assists, earning Central New York Player of the Year in 2022.She was a five-time All-Section Team honoree, earned All-CNY Large School honors four times and was named to the All-State Team three times.
She helped the program to three Sectional titles and spot in the NY State Finals in 2019. She also played basketball at Fayetteville-Manlius, and has club experience playing for WNY Flash -ECNL.
Goodman plans on majoring in Marketing at Xavier. She’s the daughter of Vanja and Michael Goodman, and has one sibling, Tyler.
Jillian Gregorski
Jillian Gregorski is a midfielder from Wethersfield, Conn., where she attends Westminster Prep School.
Gregorski plays varsity soccer for coach Kelly Wosleger at Westminster, totaling over 50 goals and 60 assists in her time with the program. Since joining the team in 2019, she has earned All-Conference in each complete season, and earned All-American, All-New England and All-State honors, as well as Team MVP, in each of the last two complete seasons.
She also has club experience playing for Connecticut FC ECNL, earning All-Conference in 2021 and 2022.
Gregorski plans to pursue Exploratory studies at Xavier. She is the daughter of James Gregorski and Heidi Allen-Gregorski, and has two siblings Meghan and Matthew. Both of her parents were student-athletes at Vermont, with her father playing baseball and her mother competing in gymnastics.
Elsa Johnson
Elsa Johnson is a winger/striker from Jackson, Miss., who attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
Johnson has experience playing for coach Tom Shortland and Kim Dean during her prep career. She has eight years of club experience, including three years with IMG Academy – GA.
In each season she was with IMG, she was selected for Southeastern Talent ID.
Johnson plans to study Business at Xavier. She is the daughter of Emily and David Johnson. She has six siblings, Trinidy, Isak, Nora, Mila, Elias and Thea. Her mother was student-athlete at Rhodes College.
Kate Langelder
Kate Langfelder is a center midfielder/forward from Wyckoff, N.J., who attends Ramapo High School.
Langfelder plays for Madeline Gibbs at Ramapo, spending three years a member of the varsity team. During her time with the program, the team has collected over 40 wins. She was named to the All-American Watchlist in 2023, and has earned all-State, All-County and All-Division honors in 2021 and 2022.
She also has club soccer experience, most recently with PDA Blue ECNL 2006, earning ECNL First Team All-Conference in 2023.
Langfelder plans to major in Business at Xavier. She is the daughter of Kerry and Philip Langfelder and has two siblings, Derek and Drew. Derek plays collegiate baseball at Palm Beach Atlantic.
Jill Medvecky
Jill Medvecky is a goalkeeper from Mentor, Ohio, where she attends Mentor High School.
She plays high school soccer from Ken Skilton at Mentor, playing four seasons on the varsity team. During her career, she has over 400 saves and 37 shutouts, a school record. She helped her team to a district championship during her freshman season and earned All-Greater Cleveland Conference twice and News Herald First Team honors.
Medvecky also has club experience playing for Cleveland Force.
Medvecky plans on majoring in Business at Xavier. She is the daughter of Heidi and George Medvecky, and has one sibling, David.
Megan Miller
Megan Miller is a left back from Columbus, Ohio, who attends Worthington Kilbourne High School.
Miller plays for head coach Meghan Moore at Worthington Kilbourne, playing three years of varsity. She earned Second Team All-Ohio Capital Conference as a sophomore. Miller also has club experience, playing with Ohio Premier since 2017. Her Ohio Premier team has been top-two in the conference in each of the last five years, making it to the Elite 8 in 2022.
Following the 2022 season, she was named Second Team All-ECNL.
Miller is the daughter of Susan and Brian Miller. She has two siblings, Nicole and Griffin.
Kendall Sears
Kendall Sears is a goalkeeper from Reading, Ohio, where she attends Reading High School.
She plays high school soccer for coach Bill Simpson at Reading, and has been a varsity starter for four years. She’s played 70 games, collecting 450 saves, and 24 shutouts, holding the school’s single season and career shutout records. She earned All-Cincinnati Hills league in each of her four seasons, and all Southwest District three times. She also played four years of varsity basketball at Reading.
She also has experience playing club soccer with 2006 Ohio Elite SA.
Sears plans on majoring in Elementary Education at Xavier. She is the daughter of Bryan and Christy Sears and has one sibling, Camden. Her father played baseball at Mount St. Joseph.
