All 2023 ECNL Girls Finals berths clinched as U13-U17 teams earn trips to Richmond

The field of teams is officially set for the 2023 ECNL Girls Finals, which are being held July 14-17 in Richmond, Virginia.

A total of 40 teams across the U13-U17 age groups qualified for the ECNL Finals in the league’s top division of play, the Champions League. After battling through a gauntlet of the toughest competition in the country at the ECNL National Playoffs in San Diego last week, eight teams in each of the five age groups will rest up before heading to Virginia to take part in the quarterfinals.

The U18/19 Champions League winner has already been decided, as Slammers HB Køge defeated Michigan Hawks in the title match in San Diego. Slammers HB Køge teams have also qualified for the ECNL Finals in the U13, U14, U15 and U16 age groups, while their Slammers FC club-mates qualified in the U17 age group. The ECNL’s North American Cup and Showcase Cup champions were also determined during the National Playoffs.

Playing alongside the Champions League teams from the ECNL’s club competition, the ECNL Regional League Finals will also be taking place in Richmond. ECNL Regional League teams recently held championship events at five locations around the country, with top finishers earning spots in the Finals.
