All-Star teams announced for ODP Girls Thanksgiving Interregional
FRISCO, Texas (Via US Youth Soccer) – US Youth Soccer has announced the US Youth Soccer ODP All-Star teams for the US Youth Soccer ODP Girls Thanksgiving Interregional, which recently took place Nov. 20-25 at Spanish River Athletic Park in Boca Raton, Fla. Of the nearly 400 players that participated in the event, five rosters were constituted based on outstanding performance – one for each of the 1999 through 2003 age groups.
The top goal scorer of the week was Region II’s Madison Alexander from the 1999 age group with five goals. Kati Druzina (2001-Region II) and Amelia Horton (2002-Region II) each topped their age groups with four goals. With three goals, Region I’s Marykate McGuire and Michelle Money tied for the leading scorer spot in the 2000 age group, and Payton Patrick (2003-Region I) also added three goals to top her age group. Region II won the most games of any region, with 11 wins across all age groups. Region II finished on top of the standings in the 1999, 2001 and 2002 age groups, and Region I claimed the top of the standings in the 2000 and 2003 age groups.

The US Youth Soccer ODP Girls Thanksgiving Interregional featured players that were selected from US Youth Soccer State Association and Regional level evaluations. Throughout the event players attended training sessions and competed in matches in front of U.S. Soccer national staff and collegiate coaches for the opportunity to be selected to a higher level of play.
