Annandale Premier U-19 Boys win Virginia State Cup
The Annandale Premier Under-19 Boys took home a Virginia State Cup title Sunday with a 3-0 win over Arlington Venom at Greenbriar Park.
Keith Ricks opened the scoring for Annandale in the 55th minute, and seven minutes later, Andrew Whitlock took a cross from Alex Salguero and scored in the 62nd minute. Bubba Delgado sealed the match with Annandale’s third goal in the 90th minute.
Annandale is coached by Dave Atkinson, and his assistant is Larry Bernfeld.
Annandale reached the final by virtue of a 3-0 win over Virginia Legacy SC Wizards. Arlington advanced to the final with a 4-1 win over HRS U19 Boys.
