Arizona goalkeeper Samantha Hauk transfers to Nebraska

The University of Nebraska soccer team announced the addition of goalkeeper Samantha Hauk to the roster. Hauk, along with 11 other newcomers, will join the Huskers for the 2021-22 season.

“Nebraska offers a competitive atmosphere on the field and in the classroom,” Hauk said. “The academic and post-college opportunities are hard to pass up. After the first conversations with the coaches, I knew I wanted to become a part of this program. I’m so blessed to spend these next four years as a Husker.”

Hauk, an Argyle, Texas, native, joins the Huskers after spending one season at the University of Arizona under Coach Tony Amato. In 2021, she made an appearance against New Mexico State and logged 17 minutes in the goal.

Before Arizona, Hauk attended Denton Guyer High School, where she helped the team to a Bi-District Championship in 2019. Individually in 2019, she recorded 10 shutouts. Over the span of her high school career, Hauk was named to the soccer All-District first team and achieved two letters in soccer, four letters in track and two letters on the Bass fishing team.

Hauk played club soccer for Dallas Texans DA under Coach Jon Patterson, where she was team captain and named MVP in 2019.
