Auburn signs Tophat Girls Academy goalkeeper Jenna Sapong ahead of 2023 season
AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn soccer and head coach Karen Hoppa announced the addition of goalkeeper Jenna Sapong to the program.
“We are really excited to add Jenna to our 2023 class,” Hoppa said. “She is a very athletic goalkeeper with a lot of potential, and she will bring depth to that very important position.”
Sapong comes to The Plains via Northview High School in Johns Creek, Georgia where she is a four-time honor roll student and two-time all-region soccer player. Sapong was named the Titans’ MVP during the 2021-22 season as well as the runner-up for the Region 5 Girls Soccer Player of the Year
With her select squad, Tophat Soccer Club, Sapong served as a team captain for three seasons and was the Girls Academy (GA) Advisory Panel Representative from 2020-2022. Sapong received invitations to attend ECNL National ID Camp and the U.S. National Team ID Camp in 2019 and also made appearances at ECNL and GAL Nationals on four occasions.
Sapong will join the Tigers and be immediately eligible for the fall 2023 season.
