Baltimore Armour forward Vincent Petrera signs with Villanova

VILLANOVA, Pa. – Forward Vincent Petrera, a native of Maryland, is the latest addition to the Villanova men’s soccer program’s crop of incoming freshmen for the fall semester.

Petrera began his club soccer tenure with Maryland United before joining Baltimore Armour. He also played for Baltimore prep powerhouse McDonogh and for Worcester Preparatory School.

Head coach Tom Carlin stated the following: “Vincent earned the reputation of being a consistent goal scorer and a menace for central defenders.  Vincent’s love for the Villanova Community was evident from our first conversation.  He has two older brothers who have attended Villanova.  Vincent’s character and internal drive for success is what makes him stand out. He will have a big impact in our program, not only scoring goals, but excelling in the classroom and supporting our Villanova way of doing things and we’re thrilled to have him on board!”

Petrera joins fellow Baltimore Armour product Kyle Dixon and Balthi Saunders as newcomers for 2021 with more additions expected soon.
