CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Following the conclusion of Thursday’s matches, the bracket and seeds for the 2024 ACC Women’s Soccer Championship are set. (View Bracket)

After finishing the regular season unbeaten, Duke earned the No. 1 seed for the first time since 2017 and looks to claim its first ACC title in program history. Following a 3-2 victory on Thursday over in-state rival North Carolina, the Blue Devils closed the regular season with a 9-0-1 conference record and 28 points and earned a first-round bye.

Second-seeded Wake Forest earned the other first-round bye in this year’s Championship, as the Demon Deacons finished with a 7-2-1 league record and 22 points. Wake tied with Florida State for second in the final standings, but with its 4-1 victory over the Seminoles on October 3, the Demon Deacons clinched the No. 2 seed. The No. 2 seed is Wake’s highest seed since it was slotted No. 2 in 2007.

Florida State will be the No. 3 seed and will host No. 6 seed Notre Dame in Sunday’s first round. The Seminoles, which have won their last nine ACC Championship matches, closed the regular season with a 7-2-1 league mark and 22 points, as they seek their fifth straight conference title. The Fighting Irish earned a 3-2 home victory over Pitt on Thursday to seal their sixth straight berth into the Championship.

Also in Sunday’s first round, fourth-seeded North Carolina will host fifth-seeded Virginia Tech. The Tar Heels will enter the postseason as the No. 4 seed for the second straight season, as they finished 7-3 in league play and earned 21 points. The Hokies return to the Championship for the first time since 2020 and seek their first conference tournament win since 2013. Virginia Tech closed the regular season with a 6-2-2 ACC record and 20 points.

Sunday’s action begins at 6 p.m. ET with Virginia Tech at North Carolina, while Florida State hosts Notre Dame at 8 p.m. ET. Both matches will air live on ACC Network.

The postseason continues Thursday, November 7, with semifinal action at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina, as Duke and Wake Forest await the first-round winners. Kickoff times will be announced following Sunday’s first round matches.

The Championship final is set for Sunday, November 10, at noon ET on ESPNU at WakeMed Soccer Park. It marks the seventh straight year the ACC champion will be crowned in Cary, North Carolina.

All six teams in this year’s field are ranked inside the top 13 of the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll. The ranking includes Duke (1), Wake Forest (3), Florida State (6), North Carolina (8), Virginia Tech (12) and Notre Dame (13).
