College Players of the Week announced by United Soccer Coaches

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – United Soccer Coaches announced its College Player of the Week awards, with eight student-athletes representing NCAA Division I, II, III, and NJCAA men’s and women’s soccer.

Logan Farrington Kylee Simmons

Logan Farrington has extended his point-scoring streak to six games with a standout seven-point week (3 goals, 1 assist) in the Bay Area. He scored both goals in a 2-1 win against top-ranked Stanford. He leads the Pac-12 and shares the NCAA Division I top spot with seven goals, also ranking near the top in conference and national scoring with 16 points.

Kylee Simmons led Missouri in a 3-2 victory over Florida to kick off conference play. Simmons played a central role in all three of the Tigers’ goals, contributing an assist and scoring two goals, including one from a penalty kick. This marks her second brace of the season and her first-ever five-point game. She currently leads the conference in points (16) and points per game (2.00), sharing the top spot in goals (7) and goals per game (0.88). Her outstanding five-point performance against the Gators also ties for the second-highest single-game point total in the conference this season.

Baronyi Kengeye Kelsey Burr

Baronyi Kengeye scored three goals with three shots on goal in UWA’s biggest-ever conference victory, during a 50-minute playing time. He ended the week with four shots, all of which were on target, and logged a total of 130 minutes on the field.

During a 2-0 week, Kelsey Burr led both the Owls and the NE10 with three goals and an assist, totaling seven points. In a 2-0 victory against Holy Family, Burr opened the scoring with the Owls’ first goal. In their NE10 opener against Saint Michael’s, which Southern won 3-0, Burr played a central role in all three of the team’s goals. She notched the game’s initial goal, assisted Kylee Slavik for the second, and converted a penalty kick to put Southern in a 3-0 lead.

Duncan Morgan Chloe LaRosa

Duncan Morgan played five games in seven days and set the school record for the longest goalkeeping streak without conceding a goal. This season, Morgan has gone 607 minutes without allowing a goal. Currently, he holds the nation’s top ranking in both Goals Against Average and Save Percentage.

Chloe LaRosa notched a hat trick with two assists against Pitt-Bradford and scored both goals against Heidelberg, marking her second hat trick of the season. LaRosa was apart of Westminster’s historic 6-0 season start, a program-first achievement. She currently ranks second in goals scored (11) and third in total points (24) in Division III women’s soccer. LaRosa also received recognition as Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Newcomer of the Week on September 11 and PAC Offensive Player of the Week on September 18.

Marvin Gamez Natalie Ipina

Gamez achieved his first career hat trick during the opening half of ECC’s 11-1 victory against Cypress. In that same first half, he contributed two assists. Additionally, Gamez scored an extra goal in ECC’s 5-0 away victory against Palomar on Friday.

Natalie Ipina, a sophomore forward, marked her scoring debut during their first conference game of the season. She netted Brookhaven’s final two goals in the 80th and 84th minutes with clinical finishing. Ipina’s aggressive play on the right wing created chaos for the Trailblazers’ defense, and she also contributed an assist to her namesake, Natalie Lopez, for one of her goals. In total, Natalie concluded the game with three shots, two on target, two goals, and one assist.
