Dallas Cup Day 4 U13-U19 Recap
The Dallas Cup continued on Wednesday with more action in the U-13 through U-19 age groups, as well as the Super Group.

Under 13
Bracket A
Mexico’s Tigres and TSF Academy 02/03B each earned a point in the standings with a 1-1 draw at MoneyGram Park. TSF Academy’s Delvin Nketia scored early in the 3rd minute of the match. It took until the second half, but Tigres’ Brayan Segundo tied up the match in the 51st minute. The tie was enough to send both teams through to the knock-out round.
Bracket B
Solar Chelsea 03B defeated San Diego Surf BU12 Academy, 2-0. Joshua Ramsey scored in the 34th minute to get things going for Solar Chelsea 03B. Jackson Castro picked up another goal in the 59th minute and that is where the score would stay. With the win, Solar Chelsea will come out of Bracket B and will be moving forward in the Dr Pepper Dallas Cup.
Under 14
Bracket D
FC Golden State B01 Black won their group after a victory over Rush Canada. Two second half goals in the 47th and 63rd from Diego Lopez-Rosales and Andrew Vasquez were the difference in the match as the game ended 2-0.
Bracket E
Sporting United 02B earned a crucial three points in their win over Team Challenger FC 01 Black. Two second half goals from Gibran Rayo and Omar Munoz in the 47th and 50th minute were the difference. The match ended 2-0 and we will see Sporting United 02B in the quarterfinals.
Under 15
Bracket A
Germany’s Eintracht Frankfurt defeated STA Morris United 3-1. Jonas-Gabriel (20’), Max Vogler (57’), and Daniel Dejanovic (74’) all got on the scoreboard. With their win, Eintracht Frankfurt won their bracket and will be moving on.
Bracket G
Tigres won their last group stage game with a 2-0 win over HSC Bulls Academy. Manuel Rodriguez scored the opening goal of the match in the 14th minute and they took the 1-0 lead into the half. Tigres’ Ruben Perez tacked on the second goal in the 66th minute. With the win, the team from Mexico will be moving forward.

Under 16
Bracket B
Crossfire Premier 2000 USSDA Pre-Academy kept their Dallas Cup championship hopes alive after securing a draw against FC Dallas Youth 00B Premier. FC Dallas had a 1-0 lead after Guy Esquivel scored in the 36th minute. They held on to the lead until stoppage time, but that is when Crossfire Premier’s Ilan Piker saved the day with a goal. The draw kept Crossfire Premier 2000 USSDA Pre-Academy atop the Bracket B standings.
Bracket D
Dallas Cup will see a team from Hawaii in the quarterfinals after Hawaii Rush Soccer 2000B got a hard fought 0-0 draw against Rio Rapids SC 00. Both Hawaii Rush Soccer and Rio Rapids ended with seven points in the table, but Hawaii Rush were the winners of the group based on goal differential. Rio Rapids advanced as a wildcard entry and will face Crossfire Premier 2000 on Thursday’s quarter-final matchup.
Under 17
Bracket B
New Jersey’s TSF Academy 98/99B defeated FC Dallas Youth 99B Gold, 2-1. TSF Academy built up a 2-0 lead with goals from Andrew Andrach and Quinn Baity in the 21st and 45th minute. FC Dallas clawed their way back into the game with a goal from Noah Renfro in the 53rd minute, but they were unable to complete the comeback. TSF Academy will continue their pursuit for the “Boot and Ball” trophy after winning Bracket B.
Bracket E
Mexico’s Prepa Tec Mty defeated La Roca FC, 2-1, and will be moving to the quarterfinals of the Dallas Cup. Prepa Tec Mty got a 9th minute goal from Miguel Rodriguez. La Roca leveled the match just before halftime with a goal from Becca Nyonyintono in the 43rd minute. The game remained knotted 1-1 until the 90th minute when Prepa Tec Mty got the deciding from Luis Marroquin.

Super 17s
Bracket A
Tigres won their final group stage match against England’s Birmingham City FC C.O.E, 2-1. Tigres gained the lead with a 34th minute goal by Juan Rodriguez. The English side answered with a goal from Brandon Barrett in the 68th minute. Minutes later, Tigres’ Jesus Garza regained the lead for Tigres with a goal of his own in the 76th minute.
Bracket C
FC Golden State picked up one point with their 1-1 draw against Dallas Texans USSF 16. FC Golden State got the opening goal of the match from Adrian Medina in the 12th minute. Dallas Texans equalized in the 24th minute with a goal by Tyler Shea. The remainder of the match would be scoreless and the draw gave FC Golden State a one point lead over Queretaro FC in the Bracket C standings.
Under 19
Bracket D
England’s Knowsley Youth will be moving forward to the quarterfinals after their 5-0 victory over Elgin Pumas. Declan Daniels picked up a hat-trick in the final group stage match for the team.
Bracket H
Mexico’s Houston Dynamo Monterrey defeated FC Golden State Platinum at MoneyGram Park, 2-0. Two second half goals by Roberto Reyes-Rico and Victor Estrada built a lead that Houston Dynamo Monterrey was not going to let slip away. The win punched their ticket to U19 quarterfinals.
Super Group
Bracket A
The U-20 U.S. National Team and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim U19 matchup was a back and forth affair that ended in a 3-3 draw. After a late goal from the U.S. National Team’s Victor Mansaray in the 83rd minute, things were looking good for the USA. However, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim kept fighting and were able to score an equalizing goal in stoppage time. Semi Belkahia scored the final goal for the German side. With the draw, neither side will be advancing to the semi-finals of the Gordon Jago Super Group.
Bracket C
Brazil’s Fluminense FC won their final group stage game against Queretaro FC, 2-0. Romulo Chagas scored a goal before the halftime whistle in the 45th minute. Alex da Conceicao Jr. tacked on one more goal to put the game away in the 90th minute. With the win, Fluminense remained undefeated in Bracket C and will play Fulham at Toyota Stadium at 6pm this Friday.
