DeMatha boys, Good Counsel girls continue WCAC dominance
A late penalty kick by Dolph Hegewisch (Crofton United) vaulted the DeMatha boys soccer team to its third consecutive Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) title against Gonzaga, and the Good Counsel girls team secured a ‘four-peat’ by defeating Bishop Ireton 2-0 over the weekend. Chloe Chapman (DC Stoddert) had a brace in the win while goalkeeper Heather Hinz (Bethesda SC) recorded the shutout in net.
