Development Academy: Baltimore Bays Chelsea pick up win, tie in only local action

In the only local Development Academy action of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, Baltimore Bays Chelsea picked up a win and a tie against PA Classics.
Bays’ U-18s scored a 1-0 win, as Yaw Amankwa’s 33rd minute goal was enough to give them the win.
Amankwa has a team-high 10 goals in nine games as the Bays’ U-18s (6-2-1) are tied for second place in the Atlantic Division on points with 19 with D.C. United (6-3-1, 19 pts.). PA Classics (7-2-1) still lead the division with 22 points, losing for just the second time this season.
In the U-16 matchup, Mani Walcott scored his second goal of the season to give Bays the lead in the 18th minute, but PA Classics managed a tie after getting a McKinley Curran goal in the 68th minute.
Bays (5-2-2) has 17 points and is in third place on points behind D.C. United (9-0-1, 28 pts.) and FC DELCO (6-2-1, 19 pts.).
All of the academy’s teams will travel to the Premier Sports Complex in Bradenton, Fla. for the Development Academy Winter Showcase Event from Nov. 28-Dec. 4.
