U13
Bracket A – Three teams, San Diego Surf SC Academy, Challenger Crew Jrs Black, and Global Premier Soccer FC, finished tied atop Bracket A with 6 points. The San Diego Surf were declared champions on the goal differential tie-breaker, but the Challenger Crew Jrs and Global Premier Soccer were able to advance to the quarterfinal as the wildcards.
Bracket B – FC Golden State PDA defeated Angeles Soccer Elite today to claim the top spot in Bracket B.
Bracket D & E – Chicago Fire Academy defeated Malabar Superstars 3-1 to leapfrog the team from Trinidad and Tobago to take Bracket E. They will meet United FC Black, winners of Bracket D, on Thursday in the U13 quarterfinals.
U14
FC Dallas teams claimed two of the eight quarterfinal spots as the FCD Youth Boys and FC Dallas Pre-Academy, both won their age brackets. Tigres UANL is the only international team to advance to the U14 quarterfinals.
U15
Eintracht Frankfurt roars into the U15 quarterfinals by outscoring their opponents 21-1 in Bracket A play. They will open the knockout stages of the tournament on Thursday against Angeles Soccer Elite from Mexico. Mexican compatriots Tigres will take on FC Golden State USSDA U14. FC Golden State and FC Dallas both had two teams qualify for the quarterfinals.
U16
This year, U.S. based teams ruled the adidas Young Champions U16 group, as all eight quarterfinalist are domestic teams. A pair of California South teams will face each other in the first round as California Rush and Aztecs FC Premier meet on Thursday.
U17
RM Academy from Mexico is the lone international representative to advance to the tournament playoffs in the U17 age group. They will face TSF Academy from New Jersey on Thursday. FC Dallas Youth Premier, a Dr Pepper Dallas Cup finalist in 2014, will face Wisconsin based North Shore Untied in first round action.
Super 17s
Three teams from Mexico, Monterrey Rayados, Jaguares de Chiapas, and Club Santos Laguna, advanced to the Super 17s semifinal. The lone American team, Ohio Premier OP Green, advanced by winning Bracket C.
U19
Bracket A – In a game that decided Bracket A, Jaguares de Chiapas defeated Knowsley Youth, 3-2, to win Bracket A and earn playoff spot.
Bracket B – Liverpool Foundation College swept all three of their first round games and finished with a +9 goal differential to finish atop Bracket B.
Bracket D and F – CZ Elite from California and Prepa Tec from Monterrey Mexico, made it through their opening rounds without conceding a goal to take top honors of Bracket D and F, respectively.
Super Group
Semifinals are this Friday at Toyota Stadium in Frisco. Everton vs. Coritiba at 6:00pm and River Plate faces Monterrey at 8:00pm.
