Eastern New York youth teams earns Premier League and Champions Cup titles

(Via ENYYSA) – The Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) recently hosted two new competitions – the Eastern New York Premier League (ENYPL) Finals and Eastern New York Champions Cup – to close out the spring season. Teams from six leagues were crowned as champions, demonstrating the great amount of talent found throughout the state.

“Although starting and hosting the Eastern New York Premier League Finals and Eastern New York Champions Cup was a great deal of work for our volunteers, we were happy to do it in response to our members looking for a higher level of competition,” commented Eastern New York President Richard Christiano. “Many thanks to both the Staten Island Youth Soccer League and East Hudson Youth Soccer League for having their fields available and being wonderful hosts.”

The ENYPL Finals were played on Flag Day, June 14 at the brand-new Owl Hollow Fields on Staten Island and it wound up being a banner day for these teams crowned as champions:

I thought the whole process, group games, quality of teams, quality of finals, etc., were excellent. I thought it was a really positive experience for all the boys and I know that my kids had a good time, despite the result. Thanks again and I am sure our paths will cross again soon.”
