San Diego Surf teams dominated the ECNL Boys 2023 postseason by winning three out of a possible six national championships across all age groups.

After winning the U18/19 title at the ECNL Boys Playoffs in North Carolina, two more San Diego Surf teams won the ECNL’s top Champions League brackets in the U13 and U16 divisions this week during the Finals in Norco, CA.

Surf’s U16 squad stormed through the quarterfinals, semifinals and the title match in Norco, outscoring their three opponents by a combined margin of 10-2. They defeated Eclipse Select SC 5-1 in the championship. In the U13 age group, Surf battled Dallas Texans Academy to a 2-2 draw before edging out a 3-2 victory in a thrilling PK shootout.

Meanwhile, Maryland’s Pipeline SC claimed the U14 ECNL Champions League title, grinding out a hard-fought 3-2 win over Tulsa SC in the final. It marked the second year in a row that a Pipeline SC team lifted the hardware, as their U17s won it all in 2022.

Pacific Northwest powerhouse club Crossfire Premier won the U15 championship in convincing fashion, as they ripped through their three knockout games in California with 13 goals scored and only 2 allowed.

Virginia’s Richmond United solidified a pair of clean sheets, including a 2-0 shutout of Seattle United in the title match, during their three-game run in Norco to win the U17 championship. Richmond outscored their three opponents by a margin of 9-2 during the event.
