ECNL Boys National Playoffs kicking off Sunday with 336 teams in North Carolina

The ECNL Boys National Playoffs have arrived. A total of 336 teams will battle it out in Greensboro, North Carolina across six age groups, with the U13–U17 age groups playing for the right to advance to the ECNL Boys National Finals in Norco, California in July, and the U18/19 age group playing to a champion in Greensboro.
The ECNL Boys National Playoffs, the league’s marquee event, will take place over seven days, anticipating more collegiate and professional scouts in attendance than any other event in boys youth soccer.

Schedule: Each team competing in Greensboro is guaranteed three games against the best teams from around the country. Those who advance to the knockout stage in each age group of the U13-U17 Champions League will play a fourth game in the round of 16, vying for a spot in the ECNL Boys National Finals in Norco. Champions League: In the U13 age group, 48 teams qualified for the Champions League, while the U14-U17 age groups each feature 64 teams. At these age groups, 16 teams will advance from group play into a single knockout round in Greensboro on June 30 and July 1, where eight winners at each group will advance to the ECNL National Finals at the beautiful Silverlakes Sports Complex from July 14-17.
At the U18/19 age group, 32 teams will compete in a single elimination knockout tournament culminating with the U18/19 National Championship Game on July 1st. The field of 32 will divide into two groupings of 16 based upon Round 1 results, with the winners from Day 1 headed into the ECNL Champions League bracket and the remaining 16 teams moving into the ECNL North American Cup bracket.
Defending Champions: Five teams head to Greensboro this weekend looking to recapture their postseason magic of last year and repeat as ECNL National Champions. San Diego Surf U14s, Dallas Texans Academy U15s, DKSC U16s, Oklahoma Energy FC U17s, and Pipeline SC U18/19s all lifted National Championship trophies last season in St. Louis and will begin their quests to repeat the feat this season. Pipeline SC begin their quest to repeat with a showdown in the round of 32 against Minnesota Thunder Academy, in the hopes they can advance all the way to the U18/19 National Championship Game on July 1st. The other four teams will look to advance out of their respective group stages and into the round of 16 where they will have a chance to advance to the ECNL Boys National Finals in July, in hopes of keeping their chances to repeat as ECNL National Champions alive.
