ECNL Boys Regional League – SoCal to begin play this fall with 14 clubs

RICHMOND, VA – The ECNL Boys has announced the launch of its third Regional League for the 2020-2021 season, the ECNL Boys Regional League – SoCal.
The brand new league will kick off play this fall with 14 ECNL Boys Member Clubs from the Southwest Conference, servicing the deep pool of talent within each club and enhancing individual player progression opportunities.
“In adding an ECNL Boys Regional League in Southern California, our Member Clubs can provide a clearer pathway for more players within their systems,” said ECNL Boys Commissioner Jason Kutney. “The platform will offer an excellent source of additional competition for these clubs that ultimately fits in their ECNL structure, allowing club directors to manage player movement to maximize development and administrators to manage logistics to optimize planning.”
The ECNL Boys Regional League – SoCal will include competition at six age groups from U13 to U18/19, with teams coming from 14 Member Clubs:
Arsenal FC | Beach FC |
Del Mar Sharks | FC Golden State |
LA Breakers | LA Surf |
Legends FC | West Coast FC |
Pateadores | Real So Cal |
San Diego SC | San Diego Surf |
Slammers FC | Strikers FC |
In addition to Southern California, ECNL Boys Regional Leagues will be facilitated in Florida and the Carolinas during the 2020-2021 season. The season will kick off in August, and qualifying teams will meet in a Regional League post-season championship.
