ECNL Boys South Carolina National Event gets underway
As The ECNL gets closer and closer to the National Playoffs, more than 50 U13 and U14 teams will head to the Palmetto State to take part in ECNL South Carolina for the final National Event of the 2020-21 season for these up and coming age groups.
ECNL South Carolina begins Friday with three days of intense competition, featuring teams from seven different conferences.
ECNL South Carolina will allow teams to face competition from across the country, with cross-conference play to support the high-level development opportunities these young players gain in The ECNL. At this event, clubs can properly evaluate their respective sides with the National Playoffs just on the horizon.

Every team at ECNL South Carolina will be playing significant and meaningful games – meaning every contest will be worth watching. But there is added intrigue surrounding a few teams as they head into the showcase. One of those teams is WNY Flash’s U13 squad, who currently sits in second place in their division within the Midwest Conference with a 5-1-1 record. WNY Flash has continually seen its teams improve year over year, and in 2020-21, is one of the top teams in its division, ready to be tested against others across the country. At ECNL South Carolina, WNY Flash will battle Pipeline SC (9-1-2) on Friday before taking on Charlotte SA National (13-5-0) on Saturday and VDA (12-2-1) on Sunday, providing an amazing challenge for the boys from Buffalo.
At the U14 age group, a team that will face tough competition is Albertson SUSA, which has a perfect 11-0-0 record. Albertson begins the showcase against VDA (11-2-1) Friday, then faces United Football Academy (13-5-0) Saturday and Charlotte SA National (8-2-7) Sunday. Already in a conference with a high level of play, Albertson SUSA will use ECNL South Carolina as a barometer to see how it stacks up against the other top teams in the country.
