ECNL Girls All-Conference Teams and Players of the Year announced for 2021-22 season
RICHMOND, Va. – After an extraordinary season with nearly 20,000 athletes and more than 700 teams competing at the highest level of American youth female soccer in the ECNL Club Competition, the ECNL Girls announced the 2021-22 Conference Players of the Year and All-Conference First and Second Teams.
“These players have distinguished themselves over the course of the season in the country’s most demanding youth competition,” said ECNL COO and Girls Commissioner Jen Winnagle. “These honors reflect years of work and training, great commitment to excel and grow, and performance when it matters most. We are excited to see what these fantastic players will do in the future in the league, in college, and beyond. Congratulations to them, their teams, their coaches, and their families.”
Honorees were selected by conference awards committees with technical representatives from every club in each of the ECNL Girls’ nine conferences. The number of players selected was based upon the size of the respective conference.
Players that have been selected to their respective All-Conference First Team will also be eligible for selection to the ECNL Girls All-American teams, which will be announced later this month. All-Conference Players of the Year will also be eligible for selection for the ECNL Girls’ National Player of the Year. The first ever All-ECNL Regional League teams will also be announced this month.
