ECNL Girls announces details for multiple upcoming Regional League events
RICHMOND, Va. – The ECNL Girls announced multiple Regional League national events over the next 12 months, including the 2021-22 post-season Regional League Championship Events, the 2021-22 Regional League Finals, and the first 2022-23 Regional League regular-season national events.
As part of the new ECNL Regional League playoff structure, ECNL Girls will host three Regional League Championships this season:
- ECNL Regional League Championship – Northeast, held at PDA Training Complex in Somerset, New Jersey
- ECNL Regional League Championship – Southeast, held at Bryan Park in Greensboro, North Carolina
- ECNL Regional League Championship – Texas, held at Railroad Park Soccer Fields in Lewisville, Texas
At each Regional League Championship, the U13-U19 age groups will compete in an eight-team knockout bracket, with each team playing a guaranteed three games. In each age group, the winning team will join the five automatic qualifiers from other Regional Leagues to participate in the Regional League Finals in Seattle, Washington, which will be held concurrently with the ECNL Girls Club Competition National Playoffs.
“We are extremely excited to announce the locations for the Regional League Championships this summer,” said ECNL Chief Operating Officer and Girls Commissioner Jen Winnagle. “An exciting post-season is an important part of the Regional League overall, giving teams and players goals to aim for throughout the season and rewarding the best for their performances.”
