ECNL Girls Florida National Event Preview: 230 teams competing in U16-18/19 age groups

The ECNL Girls are kicking off the 2024 calendar year at Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch, Florida (January 7-9).

The three day event will see some of the top clubs and athletes of the ECNL showcase themselves in front of hundreds of scouts, as 230 teams from the U16-U18/19 age groups will take the field this weekend. (College Coaches)

The weekend will be highlighted by Sunday night’s Continental Tire ECNL National Selection Game. The game will kickoff at 6:30 PM on the Premier Sports Campus Stadium and can be live streamed here.

Three Things to Know

The defending U17 North American Cup Champions Maryland United FC (G06/05) are in action this weekend at ECNL Florida. They take on a tough test of games this weekend that includes the Michigan Hawks, Concorde Fire Platinum, and GSA.
FC Dallas G07 team is off to an outstanding start to the season in the Texas Conference and bring an 11-0 record with them to Florida this weekend. They take on Wilmington Hammerheads, Michigan Hawks and World Class FC this weekend.
Portland Thorns Academy makes the cross country trip to Florida this weekend with their three teams starting conference play off with a combined 8-1 record. They’ll face some tough competition this weekend, including their G08 team taking on La Roca FC, NCFC Youth, and Chicago Inter.
