ECNL Girls Midwest: Michigan Hawks, SLSG, KC Athletics, Eclipse Select starting strong

The ECNL Girls Midwest Conference has opened competition in the 2024-25 regular season this fall, with some of the top clubs in the country going head-to-head.

As many teams around the conference have racked up more than 10 games played already, the ECNL Girls released an update on which teams have climbed to the Top of the Table across the U13-U19 age groups.

Longtime powerhouse club Michigan Hawks is off to another dominant start this season, as their teams have established first place positions in four of the six age groups. Hawks teams currently lead the Midwest Conference tables in the U13, U14, U17 and U18/19 divisions.

In a show of early dominance, the four first place Hawks teams are all currently undefeated, with a combined record of 30-0-3. Meanwhile, the Hawks are sitting in second place in the U15 age group, and third place in the U16 age group.

Two other clubs – SLSG Navy and KC Athletics – currently have teams in the top 6 of each division. SLSG Navy’s U16 team holds the top spot on their table with an unbeaten 9-0-2 record through 11 games. Their U17 and U18/19 teams each have identical 9-0-2 marks as well, with SLSG’s trio of eldest sides combining for 33 games without a loss to open the season.

Chicago area club Eclipse Select SC has fared exceedingly well in the U13-U16 age groups, with their teams currently ranked in the top 6 of each of those four divisions. Eclipse currently stands atop the U15 table at 11-1-0, while their U14 squad has a perfect 5-0-0 record, currently neck-and-neck with Hawks for the top position.
