ECNL Girls Playoffs Day 5 Recap: Group stage concludes in U13-U15 age groups

Day five of action from the ECNL Girls Playoffs featured the final day of group stage games for the U13, U14, and U15 age groups, as well as the semifinals of the U15 North American Cup. The final day of group stage action means 48 teams have now booked their spots into the Round of 16 across the three age groups and are now one win away from advancing to this year’s ECNL Girls Finals.

At the U15 age group, Kansas City Athletics, PDA Blue, Penn Fusion SA, San Diego Surf, Slammers FC HB Køge, and World Class FC all advanced through the group stage with perfect 3-0 records. They will be joined by group winners Eclipse Select SC, Real Colorado National, Solar SC, Tennessee Soccer Club, and VDA, as well as the top five second place teams, Concorde Fire Platinum, FC Dallas, Legends FC, SLSG Navy, and Utah Royals FC-AZ.

In the U14 Champions League, San Diego Surf and Legends FC advanced into the Round of 16 with perfect 3-0 records in the group stage, and will be joined by fellow group stage winners Bethesda SC, Eastside FC, Florida Premier FC, GSA, La Roca FC, Mustang SC, Real Colorado National, Slammers FC HB Køge, and Solar SC. In addition, Dallas Texans, Indy Eleven Pro Academy, Michigan Hawks, MVLA, and Slammers FC will join the 11 group winners as the top five second place teams.

In the U13 Champions League, Charlotte SA, Crossfire Academy, Eclipse Select SC, San Diego Surf, and So Cal Blues advanced into the Round of 16 with perfect 3-0 records, while Arlington Soccer, FC Stars Blue, PDA Blue, Slammers FC, Slammers FC HB Køge, and SUSA FC also advanced as group winners. Eagles SC, Eastside FC, FC Dallas, Legends FC, and Richmond United will join them in the Round of 16 as the top five second place teams.

All 48 teams will look to punch their tickets to the ECNL Girls Finals when the Round of 16 takes place on Friday.

In addition to the Champions League action, Challenge SC and Minnesota Thunder claimed their spots in the U15 North American Cup final. Challenge SC advanced through the semifinals with a 2-1 win over Davis Legacy, while Minnesota Thunder booked their place in the final with a 2-0 win over Del Mar Sharks.

Challenge SC and Minnesota Thunder will face off for the U15 North American Cup on Friday.
