ECNL: Handful of teams back in action

By Jimmy LaRoue

A host of local ECNL clubs will be back in action this weekend after the league’s recent events in Phoenix, Rockford, Ill. and Seattle sidelined most teams.

Among the matchups this weekend include Richmond Strikers against FC Virginia at West Creek and Virginia Rush hosting McLean Youth Soccer at the Hampton Roads Soccer Complex.

FC Virginia’s U-18s, at 2-0-0, will likely have back U.S. Under-17 starlet Brittany Basinger, but it has been strong in the early going, outscoring opponents 11-1 in two matches and figure to be a tough out for any team this season.
