ECNL: McLean, Virginia Rush U-14s play to tie in lone match of weekend
By Jimmy LaRoue
Just one match took place across the local Elite Clubs National League landscape, as McLean Youth Soccer and Virginia Rush’s U-14 teams played to a 1-1 tie Sunday at the Spring Hill Rec Center.
McLean, who won the first matchup between the two teams by a 1-0 margin, moves to 2-3-2 on the season, while Rush is 1-4-1.
Virginia clubs will play host Ohio teams next weekend before the ECNL takes off for the Thanksgiving holiday. Saturday, Rush hosts Ohio Elite Soccer Academy at the Hampton Roads Soccer Complex and on Sunday takes on Carmel United, while McLean hosts Internationals and Ohio Premier Eagles.
Richmond Strikers will play host to Carmel United Saturday and Ohio Elite Sunday at West Creek.
FC Virginia will play Ohio Premier Eagles Saturday and Internationals Sunday, both games at Centreville High School.
